Boise on the blue field is very hard to go against.

I like Boise St in this match up.

look for this to be a tough challenge for BSU in the post Zabransky/johnson era. they still have lotsa talent though(including o and d lines) and love to make a statement at home.
i'll take BSU here based on history and the national spotlight at home.  their ats loss vs wyoming was still a 10 pt win at home vs a team they have a serious rivalry with.  i thing they may have shaken the UW loss off and may get down to bidness smurfy style(thats a term smurfette taught me).

Dr J -- Johnson is still on the team.  He leads the team in TDs and rushing.  All the more reason to ride the blue wave.

i hate to say it, but i'm on the boise st wagon too, which sucks cause all of us are in the same boat... that hasnt done too well lately...

For once I agree with the panel. Boise should win this one in a landslide. They are an excellent home team, and they are still smarting from getting their winning streak broken. If they can score at will against an Oklahoma defense, you can imagine what they will do to Southern Mississippi's defense especially at home on a night where they are participating in the only game on television. This one will be for the doubters. Too many underdogs have covered on ESPN games (save Tulsa getting hammered by Oklahoma). The favorite wins this one outright, although I will buy a half point to make the spread 9.5, so that a 10 point win is possible.

I know what you meant, you're point was still accurate.  That this is not the same team as last year, so there is no guarantee they keep the cover machine cranking.  But I still think they cover, and having Johnson's continued leadership is a good thing.

I agree with you posters here, Boise at home is hard to go against.. The line is dropping for some reason. I will probably wait till it goes down to 9.5 and then jump on  Boise St.. GL all
 
By the way if you guys like the Dallas Cowboys this week against the Rams (Stephen Jackson is out) take them now cause the pts is climbing up fast ..

i bet it this am at 12.5 , i bet youll see this line go to 14.
big ass line but the lambs are a bet against team...esp on the road against a good running team

the boys game isnt a guarantee, especially in the NFL where anything can happen, but you want the outright best pick of the week, Pats at Cincy, pats are -7.  Should be at 9 or 10 by game time, and take them whenever cause it doesnt matter, theyll win by 30 +

i love boise st here.... still have a few more days to think about it but so far i'm loving boise st 1st half here, still have a few more days to think about it but the closer im coming to thursday the more i love boise

I can remember back in 2004 when I saw Hawaii at Boise St on a Friday game. I told my friends that Hawaii is going to lose that game and they asked me is it because they are in Boise? I said not only that they play on a weekday. Sure enough Hawaii got spanked 69-3 that Friday. Timmy Chang was never the same after that.

For a number of seasons Boise St has dominated majority of the teams on a weekday esp at home and a high percentage on the road.

They went into Louisville on a Friday night and dominated the first half of that game 31-21 only to lose 40-44 in the end but both teams finished 11-1 that season.

I like the weekday stats that Boise St has put up in the past esp on my favorite line the front half.

Just read an interesting article which I would agree with.  The Boise State O Line is quite similar to the Tenn O Line in terms of size and speed.
 
Boise O-Line average weight is 305 lbs and is lead by their two ends. South Miss will rely on speed but I think the Boise boys have enough experience and can handle the speed.
 
Tenn rushed for 193 yards on 39 carries (Foster ran for 125 on 23 carries / 5.43 yards per.)
 
Southern Miss started off well against Tennessee but I think the size and strenght of the O Line eventually caught up to S Miss and they were worn down by the second half.
 
Tennessee was at home and was giving 10.5 points and covered.
 
Can see the same type of smash mouth football here with Boise running the ball consistently with ease as the game moves on.

On MS for a taste of its +350 ML.  They have speed and, along with BS, don’t want to be shamed on National Television and…they have speed and with that speed have a reasonable shot of winning IMO.  Good Luck.
