4th game in a row that Oklahoma scores 50+ to begin their next 3 games on the road before playing at Colorado and then at Texas. Tulsa has a pretty good passing game but Oklahomas secondary is also pretty strong. Malcom Kelly has 3 TD's this game. Oklahoma covers for a fourth time in a row this game winning by a similar margin as they did against the Canes. 51-16 final score Oklahoma.

Hmmm....I will go out on a limb here and give Tulsa a three touchdown score, and that is alot. Pretty suprise that the spread is so low, and with the majority of the people who will bet on the Sooners, too.
Oklahoma, LSU, Florida, and USC is fighting for the rights to play for the National Championship. There will be no letdown, or easing up on their opponents. However....only one team on that list plays for a shutout every game. Knowing this, there may be a backdoor cover when betting on the other three. But if the Sooners are as hungry as they look, then they will run the score up near the 60s to win by 40.
Oklahoma 50-65
Tulsa 17-27
Goodluck everyone

Ok is OK in my book. They are a team to follow until the bubble bursts. I don't think it'll be this week. Big play for me for the week. Let's count the money before kickoff Saturday!

I agree with warblade. As things stand right now, OU would be on the outside looking in on the national championship game, so they will run up the score as necessary. At first I questioned whether or not they have the defense to stop Tulsa, but their defense is ranked one of the best in the nation (against some admittedly bad teams). The clincher for me is that OU has better athletes.

Key here is secondary D-Line for Okla.....Paul Smith will feel heat he's not had yet....OU secondary should feast....Tulsa cannot run against D-Line....
OU 49
TUL 14

Agree with all of you. As an added bonus, Stoops is pissed after dropping to 4th in the polls. He will continue to make his claim week after week.I gave up 48 to Utah st last week and they covered.Riding this horse till it throws me.GL to all

Agree. Smith is a talented man but he'll have some dog humping freaks coming down on him, eliminating his receivers and chasing him down on his scrambles

I'm with quadducks1 here. Tulsa is the best team OU has seen so far.
Todd Graham has Tulsa playing good offensive ball right now. The Golden Hurricane had a nice win in their opener at Louisiana-Monroe and followed that up with a home win over favored BYU.
Tulsa is getting too many points in this game. The Hurricane will undoubtedly be fired up in front of their fans on national TV. Meanwhile, OU will come back down to Earth at some point and that could very likely occur this week as they look forward to their Big 12 opener next weekend. Plan is to get Tulsa and the 24 and cheer home the Golden Hurricane!
Good luck!

1) they have to keep beating the spread (ie expectations) to stay in the battle for the NC game assuing LSU and USC also go undefeated.
2) Tulsa is in Oklahoma. OU gets the pick of the in state recruits, but OU will want to make a statement in this game, that it owns the state...
Tulsa has a great QB who I think will at least be a backup in the league. however, where was tulsa's D last week. Why was Tulsa only about a 3.5 favorite against ULM at the start of the season?
The victory over BYU was surprising and impressive, however this is not the same BYU team as last year. Had BYU had John Beck at QB, BYU would have won this game by at least 20.
I think OU has the ability to slow down Tulsa's passing game. I don't think Tulsa will be able to slow down OU's offense.
My prediction
OU 56
Tulsa - 24

prime - there will be no ledown for OU.

There ya have it, LongHornHoosier has spoken and he knows it all. I don't think your opinion really helps me make a decision on this game and you should stop talking like you already know what is going to happen. One Sean Salisbury is all I can stand. Besides, aren't you the person who couldn't believe why other people thought utah could stay close to ucla last week? You were kind of right though. The utes kicked the crap out of the bruins so it really wasn't close. Maybe you will get lucky on this one. But like I have told you before, college football is unpredictable.

Ok... Paul Smith is indeed a good QB. He has looked good against BYU and UL.... However I have grown up in Tulsa and both parents are alums of TU, so I have experienced many golden hurricane games as well as Sooner games in person.
I was at the TU/ UTAH bowl game last year. Where Smith looked very average. Do not get me wrong he is a player, but the Utes put pressure on him play after play. Smith cannot handle pressure bottom line. And one more thing the Utes aint the Sooners. The sooners will create havoc on Smiths pocket. I want to see Tulsa pull the upset but if the Hurricane cannot find a way to give Smith time, then he will resort to dumping it off to Adams or Williams in the flats where they will be tackled for a loss guarnteed.
Now with that said the Hurricane feel like they have something to proove. There are many players for the hurricane who were on nationally ranked high school teams (jenks or union) who did not get a look from stoops. Those players (including Courtney Tennial who is injured) will pump up everyone in that stadium. THIS IS A NEUTRAL SITE but the hate for the sooners by Tulsa fans is deep. Also many OSU fans will be there rooting for the hurricane. Expect a close game in the first half, but the sooners will pull away due to the lack of secondary on tu's def., the pressure on Smith, and the loss of star TE Mills. The play is the OVER
dont forget also in Norman in 2005
OU- 31
TU- 15

i think this is the best offense oklahoma has faced all year.. although they are kind of a pass only team, i think that o-line is alot better then people think and should give smith enough time to pass.. the d on the other hand.. a bit week.. i'm looking for a let down game by the sooners.. most likely this week..
i like tulsa here..

This is 07...not 05....Been watching Sooners since Pruitt, Washington and Sims....I have never seen such a complete or explosive offense....This O is like a finely tuned machine with a surgeon at QB....He just throws darts......Against Tulsa D....enough said.....What's Tulsa gonna do....blitz?
Tulsa QB will feel like he's in the hurricane....

Hit a four team parlay last saturday of: LaTech +33.5, TTech -28.5, VaTech 21 (Push), Ark St. -3. Will probably put a couple of units on Ok., Indiana, and USF by themselves and then maybe do something along the lines of parlaying USF, Navy, and UCF, gamble a bit, try to come out ahead so I can make a play on TTech if it isn't still off in the afternoon (I believe I saw it at -6 somewhere) along with Texas and Ark St. If I do well in the early afternoon and am ahead I might even put a unit on a three team parlay that includes Kentucky, UNLV, and Georgia. Yes it is a BIG gamble, but thats the name of the game and it would surely pay off. And yes, I could bet the teams that I parlay by themselves, but I am only going to parlay those games if I hit the single-bet games and am ahead by enough to have some fun and maybe get a big reward for a small risk. Give me any input if you don't like any of these games or if you would tinker with any of these two parlays that could get me some good mula going into sundays nfl games. Thanks and GL. BTW I don't usually parlay too often, but I got lucky last weekend with that 4 teamer I was talking about and then a 5 teamer on sunday and I want to try my luck again not betting 5 or 6 single games that I CAN'T watch anyways since I will be at work all day.

I like Oklahoma in this one along with these 7:
USF -13.5
Navy -11
UCF -7
Indiana +2.5
Texas -38.5
Ark St. +20
TTech Off will take them if I can last minute
(Maybe Georgia +3.5, Kentucky +7, UNLV +8 late)
