Utah St has 4th quarter losses at Aub, at home against Col St, at BYU, and at San Jose St. They have the talent to stay with any team. Short trip for Utah St too to Potato Bowl, this is a big mismatch in my opinion against a MAC team.

Well, one question would be who's happy to be in the
Potato bowl? U st hasnt been in a bowl in 8 years so I'm sure they
would be happy to be even in the cumquat bowl, Ohio punter tweeted
“who the bleep wants to play a bowl game in Idaho?” Ohio's idiot
kicker already determined who the local fans would NOT be rooting
for...
Gary Andersen, beloved by his team and the
Logan/Cache Valley community, promised his players in the offseason
that he would get a tattoo if they made it to a bowl game. Andersen
fulfilled that promise Sunday by getting a tattoo of the U-State logo
on his left shoulder....AGAIN The altitude will effect Ohio from the
East more then U st....Boise is 2,842 feet above sea level. logan utah
altitude is 4557 above sea level Ohio U. Elevation: 766 ft.
...huff huff...puff puff for the Bobcraps...This will be played on the
Blues field and Utah St will be in Blue Uniforms, Boise was banned from
wearing the Blues at home this year because it was determined they had
to big of a advantage in blending in with the field.BOWLS FROM 12/15 to 12/24: .... Favs of 3.5 or less are 20-5 SU, 19-6 ATS
The MAC is 1-8 ATS as dogs 7< pts The MAC is 1-16 SU, 3-14 ATS as Dogs
Ohio currently holds an 0-5 mark in bowl games. Combined with the
school’s 0-3 record in the Mid-American Conference Championship Game,
Ohio is winless in eight total postseason games.

i disagree that there is a disparity in talent between the two teams. Losses to La Tech, Fresno St, and Colorado St are not good things. The beat San Jose St by one point.
The only common opponent between the two was New Mexico St.
Utah St beat them by 3 Ohio beat them by 20.
The MAC won this game 40-17 last year, and should have won the year before if not for a last second comeback by Idaho.
I think Ohio has two very good player to Utah Sts one. However one of those players (Lavon Brazill) is listed on the injury report. He is probrably going to play, but will his leg tighten up during the game in what is sure to be sub 40 degree weather in Boise. The other key is one of Ohios D-Lineman is questionable because he might be suspended. He is one of their starters and this would clearly hurt if he was suspended because Utah St is all about the run game.
I would keep an eye on those two pieces of news right before gametime.
I think Ohios offense is much more balanced, and if that d-lineman plays i think Ohio wins.

i forgot to talk about the two teams motivations. i agree that Utah St probrably has the advantage in this regard. But by how much? With a win Ohio would have its first 10 win season in probrably forever. Also it would be their first bowl victory.

FORGEEEETTTTAAAABOOOUUUTTT IT...What I like about Ohio first of all is the QB situation. The Bobcats have arguably the most exciting player on the field when Tyler Tettleton lines up behind center. Tettleton has been spot-on this season breaking numerous school records from the quarterback position. The sophomore has completed over 63% of his passes for 3,060 yards with 26 Tds and 10 INTs. Tettleton owns a 7.9 yards passing per attempt mark. WR Lavon Brazill is the real deal and has caught 64 passes for over 1,000 yards with 10 TDs. Brazill is listed as probable (leg) but if he can't go, Tettleton still has 4 other receivers with at least 23 receptions. And while Tettleton has rushed for over 500 yards this season, he's certainly not the primary ball carrier for Frank Solich. Donte Harden is about 60 yards from reaching 1,000 yards on the season and he averages 5.5 yards per carry. The Bobcats are the best they have EVER been on offense, passing for more than 249 yards per game, while running for more than 205 yards per game. They'll face a one-dimensional offense in this one. USU runs the ball almost 70% of the time and Ohio is 30th in the nation defending the run. In fact, they're on a 13-3 ATS run against teams that average at least 4.75 yards per carry and USU fits the bill. And let's make one final note that USU allows over 28 ppg. The Aggies are on a 0-5 ATS slide as a favorite...albeit, now a small one on Saturday. The two spots mentioned combine for an 18-3 ATS mark. I'm playing Ohio on Saturday.
