#6 Posted: 9/21/2011 8:16:19 PM Last year A&M turned the ball over 5 times and lost by a last second field goal on the road. All 5 turnovers came courtesy of QB Johsnon. He's gone, and Tannehill has been impressive in his starts.
A&M -3.5

#9 Posted: 9/22/2011 9:03:52 AM Line is right. Ok st is great but the no defense stigma working against them. A&M is more balanced on both sides of the ball. Defense wins most of the time. A&M for the large! |

#12 Posted: 9/22/2011 11:27:23 PM I like the O-line on A&M as they have yet to allow a sack this season. A&M used to be dependent on their running game but their passing game has stepped up this season.
Turnovers really hurt the Aggies in last seasons match up so I'm looking for A&M to better disciplined on turnovers in this match up.
QB Brandon Weeden has put up some impressive numbers for Okie St in the passing game and has some impressive targets to go to but he also has thrown 6 int's so far this season.
Defensively A&M has the edge over Okie St as their defense leads the nation at an average of 5.5 sacks per game...on the other side Okie St defense ranks 84th against the pass allowing an avg of 240 yds per game and 82nd against the run allowing an avg of 170 yds per game...with A&M finding a passing game to compliment their soild dual rushing attack it might just wear down this Okie St defense.
so far leaning on.....aTm....always found it weird that their logo spells out atm |

#13 Posted: 9/23/2011 1:00:41 AM All over A&M... This line is climbing with 60% of the public on Oklahoma State.
Oklahoma State has been getting a lot of publicity the last 3-4 years. Their program is no longer in the shadows of OU, while public perception of A&M is still shaky. I think they're making more headlines with the move to the SEC than their actual play.
This is a classic Big 12 match-up (for the last time in the same conference). Last year A&M went on the road and was beat by a last minute field goal, so I'll follow the story "line" and make a large wager on A&M taking care of business on their turf. I like the under in this game too... A&M has a good defense, well balanced offense, & great special teams play. Besides Oklahoma's offense, they're average at best. A&M should have a couple key stops to keep this a touchdown game at least.
Final Play... A&M (5 Units) & the Un 69.5 (2 Units)
Good Luck to All...
DrDogs & Bigdaddyhpd, at least I'm in good company!! (Extra good luck to you two!!) |

#14 Posted: 9/23/2011 8:25:19 AM Wouldn't the line by moving the OTHER way if money was piling on Oklahoma State? Why would the line move IN FAVOR of A&M? That makes no sense... I think Oklahoma State wins, and wins convincingly.

What he's saying is that this is "reverse line movement." That is when the public is on one side (Okie State by 63%) but the "smart" money is on A&M and moving the line their way. |

#19 Posted: 9/24/2011 12:12:45 AM There are two teams I follow extremely closely... Ok State and Texas. When this line came out I was shocked that it was only 3 pts. I really expected 4 or 5 pts which is still pretty close, but I think 3 pts is a big deal because the oddsmakers see this game as a coin flip pretty much. The only thing I can think of is that the Ags defense isn't all that it is cracked up to be thus far. They have played two teams from weak conferences and have racked up 11 sacks so far (8 against smu). The only way to stop Weeden is to put pressure on him. Almost all of his picks have come when he has been pressured. I do believe the ags will get some pressure and sack him a couple times, but I really don't think they will disrupt him enough to effect ok states flow. Especially since I believe there will be a heavy dose of randle throughout the game running the ball. I think the main factor will be how often OSU gets penalized. So far this season they have had a ton of penalties. If they can limit beating themselves, then expect an outright victory. I bet the first two games in OSU's favor, but will not be playing this game as they haven't corrected this issue yet in the games i've seen. It's a coin flip imo. Good luck

#23 Posted: 9/24/2011 9:10:19 AM i'm really surprised you are so confident in the ags bigdaddy! this one seems like it could go either way. I don't under any circumstance see the ags winning by double digits and can definitely see osu winning the game so it just feels like a no play all the way. good luck though. |
