#2 Posted: 9/11/2011 11:28:31 PM ND is a joke. What is Vegas thinking favoring them in this game???? Mich St. should run/pass all over them and stop them from doing anything important. ND lost to two so-so teams (Michigan & S. Florida). No way Cousins gets outplayed by Rees. Mich St. +5 LARGE Get on this before its too late! GLTA

#5 Posted: 9/12/2011 8:50:49 AM Can't believe Notre Dame is a -5.5 favorite over 15th ranked Michigan State this Saturday. Spartans to cover with ease. Will Vegas ever learn the Irish are overrated every damn year.

#6 Posted: 9/12/2011 10:33:54 AM Whoa...hold the phone! Who has Mich St beat this year...Fla Atl and Young St...??? Notre Dame has faced two quality opponents and has held the score close in both games while beating themselves with turnovers. Don't be surprised if this turns out to be a Fighting Irish coming out party. I'm still waiting for the line to drop, though...LOL!!! |

Anyway it looks as if everyone is ready to throw ND under the buss and declare their season over. Not me. I still think they have a good football team and this week is going to show up. The Irish bounce back this week with a big win and cover.

#13 Posted: 9/13/2011 7:28:57 PM KID- WATCH RUDY ANOTHER TIME WILL YOU. MSU HAS A BALANCED ATTACK AND BEST QB IN BIG TEN. THEY ARE A MUCH BETTER TEAM THAN MICH FOR SURE AND I WOULD BET ON EM AGAINST SFLA. HOW CAN U LAY DOUGH ON A TEAM THAT COUGHS UP MORE TURNOVERS THAN THE PILSBURY DOUGHBOY? DONT OVERTHINK THIS GAME.... |

#14 Posted: 9/13/2011 10:36:17 PM In most cases, I would play Michigan State with an inflated line as a road dog against ND. However, I'm going with the Irish this weekend.
I know ND gets a lot of love from the linemakers, which is much attributed to public perception galvanized by the media and heavy action on one of football's most popular teams. But an 0-2 home team giving points to a 2-0 Top 15 team? Just by reading the line, I'd tend to sway in favor of the Irish.
Under Rees, ND has shown flashes of explosiveness on offense. The Irish should have no trouble scoring 30+ on Saturday. They need this game badly and I expect Kelly to have this team focused on both sides of the ball to bring home a solid W.
Notre Dame -5.5

#16 Posted: 9/14/2011 4:27:27 PM i see a line like this and the "L" word goes off in my head which always ends up
how can the Irish be -4.5 favorites
it's not like we're talking about an over rated Ohio State/So Cal team ... it's the Irish ... they always play and average schedule and always under perform ... if it were the 6th game of the year and it was time for Michigan State to do their annual mid year implosion i could see it ... this line smells ... years past i would have backed up the truck and dumped the bankroll on this one ...
Not this time but i still gotta put something on it ... $50 play for me on MSU

#17 Posted: 9/15/2011 9:00:45 AM Proving once again that loss of objectivity, combined with money in your wallet to bet is a dangerous combination.
This is by far the best opponent the Irish have faced so far this year. DR was throwing mallard ducks and the Irish secondary is so pathetic Michigan receivers were just going up and snatching DR's pathetic passes. Neither Michigan or ND looked like quality teams last week.
MSU will play ND with a more intentional game plan...combination rush pass with what could be the best run game in the Big 10 this year, coupled with a mature quality passer.
You won't believe this but I got MSU +7 in a parley this week. The only game that ended +/- 3 the last three years was when MSU blew ND off the field in 2008.
MSU all the way. Sparty has consistently proven they are not intimidated to play in South Bend. It will probably be the traditional excellent battle. I think MSU pulls it out...but it should be a thrill to watch. |

#19 Posted: 9/15/2011 6:42:49 PM is this a big joke?! haha, i guess....?!! Notre Dame is a very very VERY bad team, and im not even over exaggerating the facts...How is this possible that they are 5 point favorite? unless its a Vegas trap...Thats what i smell, to be honest. But like a mouse staring at the cheese inside the trap im going to bite anyways....State +5...going big....(FORGIVE ME JESUS) |

#21 Posted: 9/15/2011 9:48:48 PM Over 51.5 as well as the spartans +4.5, notre dame has much more to play for, but in the end they are simply over matched. |

#23 Posted: 9/17/2011 12:06:39 AM I've been on the MSU ML since Tuesday but I would not be surprised to see the Sparty faithful let down here in South Bend. This is MSU! How many times have the Spartans let me down in the past? If they do lose get to Cedar Village ASAP!
