I hope this is your 4* sharp......Texas coming off big win and Iowa St has been blown out the last 2 games. I think vegas gets aggressive with this one and drops the line to under 3 tds, to sucker the public in. Iowa St +21.5

Iowa St. defense is awful. Yards for last 3 games...OU 672, Utah 593, Texas Tech 508. They beat TX Tech and got blast by 40+ by both Utah and OU. What made all that difference? Utah and OU can play defense.
What makes Texas play their best??? When they move the ball on offense and keep the defense rested to come out and play with full intensity. When the Texas defense stays rested it can shut down almost anyone.
As for a Texas letdown off a big win...not a chance. Texas revived its season in Lincoln. The fans are pumped and ready to welcome back their team. And the chance of OU maybe losing to Mizzou this Sat night gives them hope for the South race. We all know OU has to face OSU in Stillwater the last game. Huge rivalry and OSU has a shot with that offense (yet little defense I realize). But it is a huge rival game on the road for OU.
Texas fans have a new energy for their season, and I guarantee you the players do. When you come off two huge losses and get a win. Rarely does a good team feel satisfied. It will make this team even more hungry. And Iowa St. can't stop Texas, just like they haven't stopped anyone 3 games straight. The new wrinkle finally allowing Garrett to run like he did in HS has opened up alot for the Texas offense.
This is another statement game for the revived Horns, and the home crowd is hungry for a beatdown after last witnessing the UCLA debacle. Lincoln was a huge shot of confidence for both the offense and defense, and Garrett became a leader that day. Texas by 28+.

Facts? Are you 16 years old and just started watching college ball a few years ago? Mack Brown does not love to run it up.....Spurrier loves to run it up....Meyer loves to run it up...Kiffin loves to run it up...It's not about ego with Brown.....If the score gets out of hand it's because the other team is just outmatched and they can't stop the run up the middle.....

Huh? Texas was on their way to score vs. Nebraska at the very end of the game. You'd think of all games, Mack would have have punched another one in vs. the Cornhuskers (even a field goal) to make his team look more dominant in that match-up. Instead, Texas took a knee to end the game.
As far as the game is concerned, I'm leaning Texas, but not I'm still not 100% sold on their offense yet. They have improved a lot since the UCLA game by puttin 20 on both OU and Nebraska, but am still not sure. I think the OC for Texas (G. Davis) opened up his playbook a little more for Nebraska by removing the TE's and running more designed QB draws, but that may just be something he needed against Nebraska and will revert to his conservative style again vs. Iowa St. (especially since both the backup QB's are true Freshmen - can't afford an injury to Gilbert right now).
But, Iowa St. though really sucks on both ends, and Texas' defense is coming on (now that the offense is actually not puttin them on the field the whole game).
I'll probably take Texas in this one.

Iowa St. here.....let down game for Texas.....they still aren't that good. I'll take my chances on 3 plus TD's that Iowa st plays like they did against Texas Tech 3 weeks ago. Heck, even if they get 27 on the board like they did against Utah, that would be enough to cover a Texas team that lacks punch and execution.

ISU has never beaten UT and they will not this weekend. The defense gets zero pressure on the QB and gets worn out from playing nearly the whole game. UT by 28.

I look at this game and think there is no way ISU can hang. Regardless of Texas' mediocre offensive output thus far, they have far superior athletes with speed, speed, and more speed. This should be a runaway by HT.

OU won 45 to 0 at home. that is a benchmark. believe or not, OU is not that much better than Texas.
This has been a challenging season for Mack Brown. Though he will slow it down past 50, I beleive he may let the O go a bit against an overmatched Iowa St team. Texas did not look good earlier in the season against bad teams like Wyoming.
I think Texas will cover.
