#3 Posted: 9/20/2010 2:03:38 PM I have been very disappointed with the Bearcats this year. They paid me well last year except for that debacle against those reptiles from Gainesville (that was my fault, I should have known better). With much of that squad intact from last year, except Coach Kelly and Mardy Gilyard, the blame for this year’s lackluster start has to be laid at the feet of the new coach.
BIG Game Bob Stoops looks like he is starting to get the QB play he needs to get his program back into the conversation for National Championship contender. The Sooners coming off the biggest challenge they have faced so far this season, eaking out a win against a VERY VERY physical ball club (Air Force Academy), I feel puts them in a tough position.
Look for the Bearcats to find some internal pride and really get up to play that bunch from Norman on National TV. I think it is way too much to ask BIG Game Stoops troops after facing that triple option for four quarters, traveling 900 miles to the GREAT State of Ohio and then cover 17 points. Thanks! |

But -13 would be a strong play. -15.5 a little tall.

#7 Posted: 9/21/2010 2:05:16 AM ou fan here...I'm probably one of the most educated ou fans here on covers. Unlike most guys on here, I actually watch almost each and every ou game possible since 1995. I've been an ou fan since 81
Having said that....OU has a BAD HISTORY of nighttime games and especially on the road. Yeah, I know that cincy sucks but -15.5 points!?!?!? really? I had this game circled as a possible loss before the season started and while ou should win....be very careful about laying down the chalk for an ou team that is clearly overated. OU has been overated every year since 2004. Look at the previous thread and I started it with ACCURATELY predicting air force +18.
OU isn't looking to blow out anyone. OU is just trying to find a win. This game will be very close betting wise. Personally I would bet the OVER, but if I had to pick a side I would say Cincy +15.5. Think about it....Ou has struggled all year long except for against Florida St. OU had to go for it on 4th down against....UTAH ST. think about it. Utah freakin st. be careful the next time u think OU is going to blow out a team on the road. |

#8 Posted: 9/21/2010 2:55:04 AM Outside of dismantling Fla. State, OK has looked mediocre at best. Their D is soft. Cinn could and should cover this game. Also i believe this is OK's first away game. |

#11 Posted: 9/23/2010 1:27:48 PM Cincy has to cover this game. They look like so out of whack this season their playing by far their best opponent and the line is dropping hard with the world on oaky. I also think people saw cincy at state on thursday night fb and my thinking is cincy was looking ahead just a tad. CINCY stays within the number...LIP |

You really don't know what your talking about bro. Nor do you understand how much better Oklahoma is. The cincinatti kittens have a very soft Defensive game and they pretty much have no offensive plan. It's pretty much take the ball and try to move it across the field. Oklahoma is past the Air Force scare, Air force is an very tough team that can do damage both offensively and defensively. Oklahoma is going to go Cincinatti and prove that they are a quality team.

#14 Posted: 9/23/2010 9:29:36 PM This line shocked me when I saw it. After watching UC against Fresno and NC St., I was fully expecting the line to be something more like 20. UC is terrible, they definitely can't run the ball at all. They have failed to cover in their last 8 games, a good indicator that the public still hasn't caught up to the fact that they just aren't as good as the perception they've generated working their way through the Big Least the last couple years.
One other thing to point out is that this game is not at UC's normal home stadium, Nippert. It's at Paul Brown. Right now this town is all about the Reds and the Bengals, there's barely any UC chatter at all. So, expect either the stadium will be only half full or there'll be as many Sooner backers there as there is for UC. So, home field adv. should be minimal, if it all.

#15 Posted: 9/23/2010 9:31:13 PM I definitely like OU at less than 2 TD's, but may even wait and play them 1H, because I'm just not a big fan of laying big wood.

Blairaj,
Are YOU sure about the game being at Paul Brown Stadium? I spoke to UC athletic department on Monday and was told the game was at Nippert Stadium. Please confirm!

Cin-24 Get A Clue Pal and read my posts for the last three years and see if i have an idea about college football. NO garbage Oaklahoma is a better team it takes a real genius to figure that out! Most of my Plays are based on line movement not who is ranked higher or the obvious better team. Books make a killing on people like you who bet what happen last week good and bad for the current match-up and get crushed. Cincy looked PAST NC STATE and although their not a good football team this will be their National Championship Game on espn. Oh and forgot when you bet you have to beat the line not just win str8 up if you didnt know that so getting 14-16 pts at home when the team has been embarrassed on tv twice this year is a solid play. Finally, The Line opened 17 every sucker and their mother is betting oaklahoma bc of your philosophy(oaklahoma has a better def and off..no garbage smarty pants) and vegas lowered the line to 14? Yeah I'm the one who doesn't have a clue!! Ciny covers a tight game...LIP |

#23 Posted: 9/24/2010 5:19:44 PM OK wins the game SU but CIN wins the money ATS in this one. In a game that will makes to sweat no matter what side you're on... I'll take the points. Personally, I'm gonna bump it to at least +14 pts for a straight wager.

#25 Posted: 9/24/2010 7:57:01 PM Call me crazy but Cincinnati will take this game to the wire. Possible upset, Oklahoma has Texas next Saturday. Playing on the road is tough but even tougher when you care more about the next game on the schedule. |
