Tempted to stay away from this one. This will end up like last years shoot out. South Carolina looked great against Soutern Miss with a good running game as well as both quarterbacks Garcia and Shaw passing well. Georgia looked good on offense as well but to win Georgia's secondary will have to improved from last year to win this game. No play for me. Go Dawgs.

Got to like USC here.  The books know people love betting Georgia and with them getting points here, I gotta believe they are already counting their glue.

Don't see a shootout happening with UGA starting a RS-Fr in his first road game.  This game is traditionally close, but I think S.Car has too many offensive weapons along with a more seasoned QB.  This will be a HUGE statement game for Spurrier.

Still not going to drink the Spurrier Kool Aid and the annual "this is the year" chant from the cocks.  He still doesn't have confidence in Garcia and S Miss looked awful at times last week-or did SC look good?  Not sure which was the case.  Inexperience at QB for UGA makes for this to be a tough call but I will lean to UGA and lay the points and go for the under.  Could be a make or break game for either team to have a shot to jump up the ladder in the SEC East from last year.

gotta agree with ya here. i live in SC and all i hear is the "this is the year" bs over and over...granted its a rivalry game and SC is playin at home...i still feel more than confident the dawgs win by 10+....and like you said, he has no confidence in "sunshine" garcia...dont get me wrong, small chance the cocks show up for once but im just gonna bet with their obvious ability to choke when a good team fires back at'em.....anyone looks like champions again a sorry team like southern miss. go dawgs and Gl everyone

I will go with South Carolina - 6-1 ATS in the first month of the season. And 7-2 ATS at home vs a team with a winning record.

Have to wait until all of the suspensions are sorted it. In the last ten yrs SC has been favored twice....and won both games.

Breaking news: AJ Green has been ruled ineligible for the first four games of the season by the NCAA.  UGA is appealing the ruling, but it looks certain he won't play vs S. Car.

Georgia is much more talented than Southern Miss but I still like the Cocks in this game.  Lattimore gives South Carolina something that they've not had in a while, a very talented RB.  Murray, Georgia's FR QB, will be forced into too many turnovers by the Gamecock defense.  If Garcia can play as well as he did last week this game might be a double-digit win for South Carolina.

I like South Carolina here.. they usually start hot before imploding halfway through the season.. with AJ Green out, Georgia will have a tough time scoring, with South Carolina stopping the run and making GA throw..

Gotta like Georgia here... hilarious to see that South Carolina is actually favored by 3.5.  Georgia is better in every facet of the game (Offensive Line, Quarterback, Running Back, Full Back, and now this new, inspired defense that Grantham has put together has the Dawgs running around like mad men).  Carlton Thomas, Ealey, and King running the ball as well.... And, this game is always close.  Take the points with Georgia easily here as they are on their way back to #1 in the East.

    So...as in the case with a lot of matchups, the numbers can be tweeked anyway you want.  Assuming both of the above posts are accurate, what do you choose?  Who do you go with?  Something's gotta give!!!  I think i'm giving the edge to the home team...although hate to lay that hook!!!

    So UGA is bettert than SC in all facets eh ?? Interesting.  Would not be surprised at all if SC beats UGA.(Hopefully they won't have any more players arrested before the game.  Only 9 so far. ).

    Ofcourse I'm not saying the South Carolina can't win... but this year I'm a bit more optimistic about Georgia's team as a whole.  No A.J. Green frickin' sucks but Georgia is very loaded on the offensive side of the ball.  For South Carolina to win Murray will have to turn the ball over a few times, which could happen.  But if it is a game which has few turnovers you have to favor Georgia to put away South Carolina.

    I think that georgia has the best offence in the SEC and take a look at last years game 41-37, I know that alot of money is coming in on the under, the line has droped from 50 to 47.5 in the last day, but trust me georgia will score and south carolina is much more experience than last year and are very dangerous at home so they will be with them all the way, take the OVER in a shootout.

    No reason to put money on this game unless you need the action to enjoy watching it.  No clear advantage anywhere here.  SC plays well at home early every season.  Georgia is a better team than them almost every year.  Without Grean, WR corp is nothing to be scared of.......lots of youth and inexperience on the road.  Georgia with a first time starter at QB, on the road for his first SEC game!!!!  The Garcia kid against a solid D for the Cocks has spelled disaster for SC over the last 2 years.  Who knows.......who cares......stay away and find something else instead of flipping a coin.
