I Love Arkansas in this spot. I think they will be able to score at will on ECU. ECU played very well in the championship game, but they were able to put up those points against a bad Houston D. I think they won't have as much success against the Arkansas defense. I predict the line Ark -10.

ECU is a physical team and should give Arkansas a game. They have also won 6 of last 7. If their offense can control the line of scrimmage and put a few points who knows. They were money for me agaisnt Houston and I'm rolling with the Pirates again. ARRRGGH.

After further studying, I am going to vacillate and lean Arkansas here. The biggest mismatch here is the ECU pass defense against the Arkansas pass offense. Good luck everyone.

Rolling with Pirates at -8. Gent they will compete and Arkansas is not the most consistent team in the world. E.C.U is a solid team not saying they will win but I think they cover!!!!

If you just look at those statistics quickly, particularly the pass against numbers for both teams, you might think this is gonna' be a high-scoring shootout in which an extra touchdown might get you a cover.
But the second time you look at those stats, you'll notice that 4 of those 5 Arkansas losses came on the road, against SEC teams playing in bowl games eitheryesterday, today, or on thursday night.
That would be at Alabama, at Ole Miss, at Florida and at LSU. The other loss was Georgia at home.
Despite that schedule, they somehow managed to finish 1st in the SEC in scoring 37ppg, passing yards (303ypg) and passing touchdowns (31), while Ryan Mallett tied or broke 16 school records, threw for 29 TD's and 7 INT's. The guy is the real deal.
Conference USA has a couple of nice teams . . . . but that's about it. There's very little comparison conference to conference in terms of strength.
And while the passing defense is definitely the achilles heal at Razorback U.,, I think it's a stretch to believe that East Carolina will somehow control the line of scrimmage. Arkansas almost won at Florida by controlling the line on defense.
I espext a scrappy game from ECU and they'll probably burn Arkansas once or twice but ultimately the Hogs should have too much fire power to allow the Pirates to stay within the number.
Good luck everyone and happy bowling.
