The pace was slow in the Travers wasn't it? That's why that other horse was able to hang in there as long as he did. You telling me 23 and 48 is a fast pace at Saratoga?

Here's a flash...Three-year old horses moving on a fast track and dueling in the stretch even at 136.4 going into the stretch is brisk and grueling at 1-1/4!

Every article I read about the Travers, Nafzger says the same thing. "It was a slow pace and that's why the other horse was able to hang with him"
He's the trainer of the horse so he probably knows what he is talking about.
