Going with my gut: Creative Cause

She finshed strong in the Derby after getting caught in traffic. Ran 30 feet more than the winner and only lost by 3 lengths. Starting in a good spot. The cards have to align for Bode and IHA to lose and the cards just seem perfect for the moderate upset here.

Well Creative Cause is a very consistent horse and has between Bode a few races back, so this is not a bad angle. I suppose it would pay around 20 bucks with bode on top and maybe 32 dollars the other way

sk123 - Yes... you can bet larger amounts, but the payouts are posted in terms of a $2 bet... in other words, if the Exacta pays out $300 (like it did for me in the Derby ) that is based on a $2 bet, a $4 bet would pay $600 etc.

 This has the making of a low payout race unless someone steps up from the 4 most likely top finishers in most peoples minds. In saying that I would never tell anyone not to make a bet because I have seen some crazy things happen in horse racing.

 Creative Cause is currently paying about $12 dollars to win. So a place or show bet in case he comes second or third makes good sense. It is nice to have some insurance just in case he doesn't win but hits the board.
