I like Z Danger in this one, was 2nd last out and just lost it to Mr Bowling by a head. The pace should set up nicely for him in this one.
Also going to box Z Danger in an exacta with Afford and Mr Bowling.

I see what you are saying. We could look at this race as El Padrino's to lose or as very wide open. Tough one here I think there is more to it possibly than just El Padrino.
I agree with the red flag being that his two wins both came with some moisture on the surface. I have seen it many times where a horse pops his highest fig on a wet track and never matches it again. BUT, he does have a nice overall pattern with improving figs (71, 75, 79, and 100). Also a little skittish when the Beyer pops so much in one race which it did by 21 points last out. BUT again, his other two spins were fairly solid where he got "between foes, late foot" and "rail rally for place". I'm suspicious but at the same time also thinking he might be legit.
Z Dager very interesting to me as well. I like his late movement in the Lecomte and with more zip here and a big full field he might get a nice chance to make a solid move late.
A couple others are interesting as well. Note the coupled entry for Jones. The straight 1 comes off the Lecomte win which came off a layoff so no shock if he improves. Also, the 1A I know, I know he hasn't routed yet but he is sharp and improving. Jones is 26% sprint/route and 21% 2nd off a 45-180 day break. This is a scenario where I WILL consider breeding. The Dam for this 1A was placed in a G1 routing and a multiple stakes winner routing. She has dropped three other route winners. This 1A might like two turns.

It's a great day of racing across the country & I'm headed to GP with a couple of buddies soon. Capped a bunch of tracks yesterday which I don't normally do but each of us will be responsible for placing the bets at different tracks so we don't miss a beat. Already sent a text to my favorite bartender Alexia to put a ton of Heinekens on ice for us....
