My choice in this race is GATTINARA. Is tough not to look at based on speed figures which have been respectable - 78 avg - of late. Ran a solid last race. Has been travelling in the most competitive company of the group lately. CHIPPEWA COURT - In fine fettle, and coming back quickly again today. This mare has some longshot angles I like to take a chance on. INDY'S FORUM - Will likely be one of the leaders of the pack going into the halfway point of the race. Garnered a respectable speed rating last time out.

Analysis: #2 Indy's Forum is back in for a straight tag after taking on $10K starter allowance company in her last two starts. The mare won for this tag three back on the inner, and also won for this tag when last running over the main track here. She owns a solid pace profile throughout and gets a jock upgrade from the bug to Maragh.
#4 Gattinara prompted the early pace, took over the lead and could not hold off the winner late in a game runner up finish, beaten a head for the top spot. The mare finished a good second two back to our top pick. She fits here with her best but does have a habit of landing for minor shares.

Analysis: #7 Separatist makes his first start since October where the gelding checked in sixth at this condition in a race taken off the grass. This gelding was beaten just a neck two back in his last trip on turf, one of five runner up finishes in nine career starts on the weeds. If he runs back to his last two efforts on the turf he appears as if he will be tough facing this group. The Tagg barn is 12% winners with horses coming back off a 61-180 day layoff.
#2 Smart Enuf returns off a 2 1/2 month break for the Donk barn. This gelding beat Alw-1 state breds last out on the inner and has done some of his best running on grass, landing in the exacta in 5 of 11 trips. The gelding beat $25K non winners of two last fall on the turf and will appreciate the switch back to the surface here.
