this game is not till friday but how the hell is uconn laying 11.5 on the west coast to a red hot san diego team    am i missing something? st marys and gonzaga got all the press but san diego is right there with them.   uconn was favored by 11 at home to cincy last week.. now they will be playing in a pro san diego crowd on the other side of the country laying 11..  not to mention uconn has looked far from impressive.  i actually can see san diego winning..  this seems like g.o.y material to me..

imo, the only reason SD is in the Tourney, is because the WCC paid the refs to fuck St mary's and Gonzaga. Did you watch those games? OMG it was so apparant that they wanted 3 teams from the shitty WCC to get in. Even the announcers were well aware of the fact that never before had three teams gotten in from the WCC. 
 
When will UCONN arrive on the west coast? if they have two or three days to acclimate themselves, they should be fine. If they fly in the day before(which I think is unlikely), they could have trouble.

i ve watched a few of san diegos games this year and this team can play.  there is no way uconn goes out there and blows them out.  san diego didnt go  14-3 in conf because of bad reffing...

bad i agree size is where san diego will have problems and polmare is no answer for thabeet
 
san has to hope they are hitting some 3s or this one mite get ugly

UConn defends the 3 ball poorly... if San Diego is on then UConn could fall.  My guess is UConn Drake will come down to the wire in the round of 32.

i was thinking this game was in anaheim, that kills any big play. i still like the points though.

You are a moron.  San Diego only wins at home and lays eggs everywhere else. Plus they are the ones going cross country here.  I promise you that Calhoun kicked his kid's asses after losing to WV in the big east tourney.  The athleticism in this game is a total mismatch.  San Diego coach already said their game of the year was against Gonzaga to make the NCAA's. Uconn by 20 plus in this one but please bet your giant money on this game to help my line.

It is funny you want "giant money" bet from him to "help your line" if it is going to be a 20 point blowout, it shouldn't matter to you what so ever.  Jim Calhoun is a great coach but his team struggles to focus at times, and he said "The problem was I want to win, more than this team" after their loss in the Big East tournament.  UConn has now lost 2 out of their last 3 games, and looked shaky on the road and neutral courts all year long.  So good luck with your huge bet on UConn

I watch the WCC closely my friend being from Spokane.  San Diego finished with a decent record winning home games and beating crappy teams in the bottom half of that conference.  They have 1 decent athlete and that's their PG who is wreckless as hell, but can make shots.......at home.  Good luck to you and your picks throughout the tourney regardless Mr. Guppy.

i'm a moron?? who taught you how to read???  go re-read this thread from start to finish and get back to me.  and in case you cant figure it out i said i thought this game was in cally which it isnt and i said that kills any big play.  so settle down you little keyboard warrior.

Fine, discussion. I like UCONN at -10 (on the buy). I will also play them in the 1st half if i can get less than 6. San Diego has to travel across the country to play a hungry UCONN team. SD had to come back from 18 points, at home, just to beat a struggling St. Mary's team. SD did have 1 good road win, at Kentucky, but they did not miss that not....especially on 3's. SD can not match up with Tabeet and UCONN's athleticism. Pomare, SD's center, goes about 6'8 and is only good around the rim. Well Uconn has too much size for him and he will ineffective and will get into foul trouble (UCONN does lead the nation in shot blocks).
 Brandon Johnson is a good guard but very inconsistent and a poor freethrow shooter (65%). There other guard who contributes is a freshman who goes about 6'2 and like Brandon is inconsistent, bad free throw shooter and takes bad shots. DON'T BUY INTO THE SD HYPE
