2013 NCAA Tournament Playoffs * (20-18) * (53%) ATS

(3-4) Sun.

Tonight I Like Short & Sweet:

Mercer Bears +7.5 *covers @ BYU Cougars

*Bears are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win.

*Bears are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600.

*Bears are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.

*Cougars are 15-35-1 ATS in their last 51 games following a ATS win.

*Cougars are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games following a S.U. win.

Let's feed the Bears some Leftover Cougar meat

I'll take the +Pts here & to Cover the Spread or a Possible Upset

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE >>>>

Early Play I Like Short & Sweet:

Richmond Spiders +1.0 *covers @ Wright State Raiders

The two teams only met once before, with Richmond coming away with a 71-61 win on a neutral floor on Nov. 26, 2010.

Richmond clearly has more offensive playmakers than Wright State, and if its shooters can get hot, a trip to the semifinals may be in the cards. But the Raiders have played well at the Nutter Center this season (11-4), and another strong defensive effort should carry them into the next round.

Not so Fast

I'll take the Spiders to Sting the Raiders for a Win SU

Let's do it!!!

Robert Morris +8

Robert Morris is 15-5 ATS in last 20 lined games. Thy won two games in the CIT last season, both on the road, and they are trying to win 2 in the NIT this season. Just like Mercer, they had enough time to get over that big win against Kentucky and to prepare for Providence. Providence is 2-13 SU and 2-13-1 ATS in recently played playoffs games.

Mercer +7.5

Mercer is probably the best team from A-Sun, despite losing 2 of 3 against Florida Gulf Coast this season. They are on a 6-0 ATS run as playoffs underdogs and on a 6-0 SU/ATS run in all playoffs games, including their win in the CIT last season. They are for real. Unlike some other unknown teams that made an upset in the first round of nit/cit/cbi, and had to play two days later, Mercer got enough rest to prepare for their next game. BYU is not very good in the playoffs in last few seasons, going 5-17 ATS.

NBA Washington +3

The Wizards started the season 4-28, then went 7-7 in the next 14 games and then turned their season around with a 14-9 run in last 23 games. They own the third best ATS record this season in the NBA, at 40-27-1 ATS. They are on a 12-4 SU and a 15-5 ATS runs at home. In their last 9 games as underdogs they went 8-1. They also covered 9 of last 10 when getting points. Memphis only 3-3 SU and 1-5 ATS after their huge 14-1 run. Last season they went 11-21-1 ATS from mid March to the end of the season. Everyone stepped up in their last game to win without M.Gasol but this will be their first road game without him in the lineup in more than 3 years.

Strictly a Contrarian Play here Short & Sweet:

Robert Morris Colonials +8.5 *covers @ Providence Friars

*Colonials are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600.

*Colonials are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 non-conference games.

*Colonials are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.

*Friars are 7-16 ATS in their last 23 Monday games.

*Friars are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games.

I'll throw this Dog a Bone to Cover the Spread here. *woof! *woof!

Guard for BYU is the real deal, like a Fredette protege, and impressed by how BYU held off Washington's power forwards... crowd is in to their games (like a GB Packers crowd-?), so I think they have full sails til they stumble on the road or a neutral site. GL on the other picks (and Mercer, too)
