Man I had to use this quote in this thread.  This man named the whole bullshit lineage of players that have come thru Gonzaga.  And they all are trash, except for the 1 the only John Stockton

Crow killed it, like seriously Gonzaga dominates the WCC (Church League Conference) then always gets exposed in the Big Dance.

Nobody say garbage about Gonzaga Basketball anymore ok?  They are a cool little underdog team, but are not and will not be Elite.  I will say that Mark Few is a hell of a coach, but those players he has are just not that good.  And this year was the end to all the bullshit.  No they did not deserve a #1 over Miami that was a joke in itself.  When teams are playing in power conferences and the Zags play in that shitty conference and should play all big boys out of conference if they truly want to be considered upper echelon and get respect.

If thy were a lower seed, they probably would have got knocked out in the 1st round.  They could barely beat Southern and came up against a decent team in Wichita State and couldn't even beat them as a #1 seed.

This team has always been a joke

Props to you Crow, in my book post of the tournament

John Stockton does not have strength, size or speed.

Gonzaga was the worst #1 seen I have ever seen.

Damn it wouldn't let me put it on here, damn.

Anyways Crow just named all those garbage Gonzaga host of players from Dan Dickau, Olynk, Ronny Turiaf, Robert Sacre, Jeremy Pargo, Steven Gray, Matt Bouldin, Austin Daye, Richie Frahm, Adam Morrison.

He hit all of'em.  As as he said, John Stockton is the only guy we should even mention as being excellent players.  All the rest are garbage.

John Stockton is a legend sir.  I could never hate on Mr. Stockton.  Only thing out of Gonzaga ever worth mentioning.

The whole team was too self conscious. The guards were on the soft side, but guards like that have had tourney success, but bullnose guards are a step above. So, IMO, Zaga got screwed by having the top rated defense in Wichita State playing a style they didn't like, and it exposed them. So, they should feel good they were rated #1 at the end of the season, and got a #1 seed. That's not bad for a super small school. Move on. Higher expectations (maybe--but it kinda looked like they were waiting to choose who to lose to). They had a great year, and will be ranked high next season and beyond. THEY NEED TO GET OUTTA THAT CONFERENCE NOW--and pull a BUTLER move.

True, but Zags would be in the S16 if Wichita didn't hit 5 3's in a row.

And Turiaf is a decent NBA bench player.  Lot of energy and hustle.  Not a star but not a bum like the rest of the Zags in the NBA.

I think they are a pretty good squad. Just not their night. If they play this matchup best of 7 theres no doubt in my mind they come out on top BECAUSE they are the better team. I mean come on the Shockers hit i think 5 3's in a row down the stretch. One of them as the shot clock was at almost zero with a defender draped all over the shooter. Game changing moment. I'll put Olynyk, Harris, Pangos and Bell Jr up against pretty much any team in the country.

That was after a turnover also, so credit the #1 ranked defense. There were two 3 pointers in a row. Crumbles  a  61-56 lead into a deficit and Wichita could feel it, and the Zags tensed up too much. I hope Wichita isn't satisfied with just knocking off the Zags. They came out firing all game--they could beat anybody with that consistent effort.

Congrats though to a small school for being ranked #1--do Zags even HAVE  a football program? They could do well in the PAC12 if they had one.
