This game is for all the marbles. It should only be fair that I too go all in (meaning all my Jackrabbit profits going all in) in this game. This will either be a game I love talking about when things are good or complain about the rest of my life. Either way it will be memorable and frankly my unit size is $25.00 per unit so I am not going broke either way. Okay we already know alot about both of these teams this year. South Dakota State lead by All-American point guard Nate Wolters the #1 seed takes on North Dakota State who was the #3 seed. There was no denying it this was the game everyone expect all year. Only one of these teams will make it to the next level and how fitting given they were the two best teams in the conference (no disrepect intended for WIU) all year. Both teams have been pretty crappy in the 1H but both turned it on in the second half this tournament. While I have been more impressed with SDSU than NDSU this tournament that might be a slight blue/yellow tinted glasses approach. I truely thought NDSU was going to lose last night to WIU until Clarke went down with a torn ACL and then it was all over. Stuff happens but it set up for the matchup everyone wanted to see.

This is actually a more intimate venue than say Frost Arena in Brookings. The crowd is right on the floor. The last two Jacks games had crowds in the range of: 5,977 and 6,753 (not sure how that is possible but that is what it says) while NDSU the crowd was 3,786 and 6,676. From my view of the crowd I would bet that there is less than 1,000 people cheering on the Bison and it is a sea of Blue and Yellow. SDSU got down early versus IUPUI (down 4 at half) and also go down early against IPFW (down 2 at half) and the crowd only willed this team back into it but provided the energy to dominate the second half of both. Not saying I want the Jacks to get behind early just saying the crowd never gave up, the Jacks never gave up and it was interesting watching the team interact and energize from the crowd. I would say that the opposite was true in that the crowd was clearly in favor of WIU last night and then Clarke tore his ACL and you could hear a pin drop. Heck you could hear poor CC crying and moaning on the floor. It took the crowd right out of it the rest of the game. The crowd is going to have some control in this game.

This Going be a really good game tonight. Both split wins this season. But Braun was out the 2nd game where Sd state started out awful but regroup and went on a tear 2nd half and won . I was thinking sd stste would be favor since this is pretty much home court. I like nd state 1st half more. Might lay off whole game . This probable the best game on tonight .

Plus UMKC and WIU are two very bad offenses (WIU great defense though) so those numbers are a little skewed but IPFW is a great offense and last night was an impressive display of defense against that team.
All in all I think that SDSU is peaking at the right time and in a tough game they will be victorious against NDSU for all the reasons stated above. Therefore my play is:
SDSU +1.5 risking 13.2 units to win 12 units

Biggest game of all these kids careers, it's nationally televised, I'm gonna do some simplistic capping and say they come out nervous......first half under 57.

I dont think anyone actually realizes the atmosphere at the game. This Is7k fans that get into it. When the crowd got into it in the 2nd half u could tell the players fed off of it. Take the under and jacks. Bol. Lets go rabbits

I'm playing North Dakota stste 1st half. Passing on the game, but will play 2nd half . I think this game will go over. North Dakota stste going have to keep up with South Dakota state offense. This game should be around 127-134 in points .

Completely agree jkidd... it is really hard for me to put into words the atmosphere unless you been there. I really hope that Nate the Great finishes his career with a win and gets to the NCAA Tournament. If not then it will not be a blemish in his great career as he is the best player the Rabbits have ever seen. BOL!
