Why do people want the field of 68 to expand?

Who the hell would you put in the big dance? There will be some terrible teams make the dance this year. I say cut it back to 32.

Just a quick run down of teams on the bubble who are god awful...

Mizzou, Maryland, Wyoming, Kentucky, Virginia, Cal, Villanova, St Johns, Ole Piss, Arizona St, Baylor

yet some of these teams have to make it

You are a fool.  Just because you bet on those teams and they lost you money doesn't means they can't make noise in the tourney.

It's all about money.  The more games, the more money.

The simple answer in this forum, more games to bet on.

The field is fine where it is at.  College basketball is really down this year.

I don't think it is down so much.. I believe there are only a handful of teams who can win it all. The thing I can't believe is how these teams struggle so much on the road this year and it doesn't matter where they play.

Indiana is showing they are by far the best team in the land this year. Winning big games on the road.

Most those teams you mention as crap have some very good home records,just lose more than they win on the road,
but they should not let more teams in,68 is just about right,every year there is only about 4 teams left out that the know it all guys on ESPN complain about.Any more teams and there will be some crap games to bet on,lol.

If there are only a handful of teams that can win it all, then I'd say it is a down year.  I mean the Miami Hurricanes are ranked #2

You are just wrong if you wanna cut back or expand. The set up is perfect as is.

The bubble teams are what makes college hoops the best sport on the planet. All you need is a ticket to the dance and you can fight for the title. Nothing is given. You have to win 6 games in a row. No byes. No losers bracket.

Your list of bubble teams has some big wins and are all very competitive. If you wanna go by ranking and be lead around by your nose go right ahead....

March madness is great as is, and if you think otherwise you simply dont get it or arent very smart.

Winning games against a weak conference. Duke would be good with Kelly back... Miami is a solid team I'm just scared they haven't had any post season success..

I love the Zags this year. This team should have beaten OSU last year and got better with Olynick in the post over Sacre.

And tonight, the Miami team you say is "solid", just squeaked by a team (Virginia) you stated as "god awful".  And Miami was at home.

Come on, man.  Get it together.

Things are fine just as they are.  If Ole Miss decides to go on a tear in the tourney, other teams have to show up and stop them.  If not, Ole Miss wins the tourney (Ole Miss is just an example).  That's the beauty of sports.  Win games to continue, lose games and go home early.

Yup mizzou maryland or nova cant beat a good team. Oh wait they already did beat too teams. Not many teams would want mizzou in early round matchup

Missouri, Nova, Virginia are awful?! Huh?  Please do not put these teams in the same category as WYOMING who is 4-8 in the MWC...

Mizzou, Villanova, Virginia are more than capable of knocking off good teams.  They already have.

If Wyoming didn't lose that Luke Martinez dude which was one of their best players I say Wyoming would have squeaked into the Tourney.  Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda, lol...

Virginia and Baylor both could be very dangerous teams in the tourney. If you don't think any of those teams could make noise in March Madness, than you haven't watched very many of them. Hence, the name March Madness.

Bump this up... Add cincy to the list... college basketball is terrible in the bottom half this year... cut the field back!!!

and I have watched all these teams... there are between 6 to 8 teams who can win the title this year... the rest of these teams are average on a good day.

wolfer those teams aren't god awful. God awful teams are teams that go 8-20 not 18-12. Those teams are far from dominant but still decent and no chance in hell cut it to 32, Stop watching then
