Split out last night as Bill & Mary did enough to hang in there until halftime. Tough loss however, on USF as they were in the game all the way up to the 18 minute mark of the 1st half. That loss was so bad, I contemplated counting it as 2 strikes against my record.
Anyway, tonight's stuff:
Elon - 1 (first half only) - Apparently this line appears "fishy" to some of you, but I kind of graduated from the "something stinks about this number" logic when it comes to handicapping. So much of that theory is subjective and I don't really feel like getting into it. Elon is on the road granted, and it will probably be a tough game, but they are clearly the better team....I'll take my chances with them in the first 20 minutes.
Virginia Tech + 5 (full game) - I'm not a huge fan of this team, as I don't think they're very good, but kind of like last night, you've got a team (Maryland) that has played 22 games yet only 5 of them on the road, where they are (1 - 4) straight up. Now they travel to Blacksburg, a place they've won 1 time (in OT) since the Hokies became a fixture in the ACC. And after all that, they make the Terps a 5 point favorite??? This Terps team has the special ability to go long periods of time without scoring. I don't know, maybe they found something last game, but I'll pay to make them prove that they're better than I think they are.
