Fordham +15.5
Should be a track meet between these two teams tonight. Both teams should have well over 60 field goal attempts each. This will play into our favor here getting such a high number with the visitors. Both teams are capable of putting up a lot of points. Neither defense isn't all that great either.
Dayton has played three of the better teams in conference play so far. They have lost all three games straight up and covered only once. Not that impressed with a team that is supposed to blow out Fordham tonight. Overall only one straight up win in their last five outings.
Fordham has played well in the underdog role this year. They have covered in all three conference games thus far. As the visitors overall covering 7 of 11. Overall this team has covered the number in 11 of their past 13 games overall. Fordham's offense should be able to keep them within the number tonight.
Penn State +26
These two teams played earlier this month with Indiana winning by 23. Let's look at the stats for that game. Indiana shot 52.4% from the field, 50% from three-point range and got up to the free throw line 34 times. Rebounding and turnovers were pretty much even for both sides.
Penn State shot terrible from the field connecting on 19 of 60 attempts and only making 11 free throw attempts.
For Indiana to cover this huge number they will need to shoot a high percentage, get to the free throw line probably at least 30 plus times and rely on Penn State having another terrible shooting game. Seems like a lot to ask for. Indiana only made three more field goals than Penn State in that game. Penn State does foul a lot but if they can keep the ft attempts down somewhat in this game they should have a good chance at covering this high number.
The Nittany Lions should feel a little bit of confidence coming into this one. They shot decent enough in their last two games and played a much better second half against Indiana in their first meeting.
Indiana State +7.5
The wrong team looks favored in this one.
Illinois State was favored by 5 in their first meeting this year with Indiana State winning that game by 2.
Illinois State is 1-6 straight up in conference play and against the spread. Meanwhile Indiana State is 5-2 straight up as well as against the spread. The better team record wise is the underdog in this one. Looks kind of weird.
Indiana State has also gotten the best of Illinois State in recent meetings winning and covering most of those games.
