While he can get annoying,especially if you are on the losing side of the game he is announcing,the guy truly loves the sport and is an amazing motivational speaker. He truly loves the kids and has helped more people than we can ever hope to help,he is annoying sometimes but he is a great man.

Gus Johnson is by far the best play by play guy around.

Gus is the best. What I hate about vitale isn&#x27;t so much his play by play but he&#x27;s so shocked when a ranked or acc team loses or gets " upset" by someone who&#x27;s actually good. Only picks heavy favs

Dick vitale is awesome he is a hall of fame broadcaster I&#39;ve never heard one basketball say they don&#39;t like him at any level it&#39;s all people usualy that never played any bball at any level that don&#39;t like him.  He is very passionate about announcing the games we need more of it or else will have these boring bland broadcasters which there are several of them right now. He is the lee corso of college basketball when people think of college gameday on espn who is the first person you think of it&#39;s lee corso same with in basketball it&#39;s vitale. Quit the hating he is in the hall of fame.   I love all his saying and things he says he gets most people I know fired up for games.  He knows the game inside out at one time he was a coach.
