0-1 Monday after getting a little trigger happy w/ Georgia in-game.
I have strong lean on Lobos, but don't want to deal with 2AM game. Also have Steelers -2.5 as last leg of my teaser and Chiefs +14 side that might hit a nice middle for me
Northeastern +10 Temple -3.5 Houston -1 also like USC
Work is seriously killing my capping time. Sorry for lack of write-ups
Like Northeastern tomorrow. Young Huskies put on a so-so season in CAA last year, but return 4 best players from last yr's team. They lost to Princeton by 9 last year on their home floor, so they're playing a familiar opponent. Princeton was 4th in Ivy in terms of tempo, but still relatively slow at 266th in adjusted tempo. Northeastern wasn't far off at 245th. (Slow pace helps cover a big #; less possessions.) NE only lost 3 games by >10 points after 12/22/2011 last year after starting the season 3-7 on a brutal non-conference schedule. Also potential look-aheads for Princeton w/ Rutgers and Syracuse on deck w/in following week...? NE also had extra day to prep, but I'm not putting any emphasis on a spot play here.
Breaks my heart to see Temple w/out Fernandez and Moore but the reality is they've still got plenty of pieces. Might take time to gel but I think Wyatt & Hollis-Jefferson will step up and others will step in. Easy for me to lay the chalk here against a Kent State team with 4 freshman, 5 sophs, 3 transfers; only 2 players who saw significant minutes. Esp. after they already played Friday in a big overachieving win over Drexel in OT. Fran Dunphy is one of my favorite coaches --- very, Very good at getting his team prepped and composed on the road.
Not really fading San Jose St., as bad as they are. They actually have a decently-touted recruiting class. But Houston really showed some sparkle to close the year last year and I think they will surprise in C-USA.
Lean FAU +5.5 |

Same read on the Temple game. Veteran team versus a young team coming off a big win for them.

#6 Posted: 11/13/2012 6:37:02 AM Yeah good point Riccio. Lee averaged 15 a game last year, he's a senior and a very capable scorer. I'm letting this ride; if be more concerned if a big man was out considering pr |

#17 Posted: 11/13/2012 7:48:15 PM No way on USC...all value lost...saw this opened at 5.5 on BOL last night but must have climbed...ESP w the slow pace of USC and their frequent tendenxy to disappear...no thank u...beach will try to run but USC won't let it happen...I'd lean beach at that #... I think there will be buyback on this to be honest |

Games like Houston -1 I will look to avoid this season. I was victimized by this exact type of short road favorite last year; frequently found myself head scratching but always came back for more. I prefer siding with Vegas whenever possible, and these are the types of games they clean house on. I would have avoided this, but I believe I have a good read on Houston right now and am trusting my instinct. |

9-1 overall
*kerploop*
likely off on wednesday. like i said...i will be cutting back significantly on volume this year. forcing nothing
just a note...streaks will come and go...i will get cold...ive hit 13 of my last 14 basketball plays including nba (6-3 overall) and 49-36 since week 3 of NFL (55-49 overall)....this is not sustainable...there will be 300+ plays in college this year...so this little "streak" is nothing to get excited about and just a speck...but i feel good and it is step in right direction feeling sorry for anyone who had houston -2. quite the moose |
