#12 Posted: 2/26/2012 4:03:50 PM Hoping for a slow start from OSU as I'd love to make a live bet on them at -4 or -5...
Late leans to Colorado, Miami, Oregon. Still investigating on all three.

Tough game. Ohio's pressure is relentless, especially at home in front of what will be a very large crowd on Senior Night. Akron locks up the MAC regular season championship and top seed with a win, but I'm not sure they can match the Bobcats' urgency. The first game was called really tight - 51 fouls between the two teams, which caused Ohio a lot of problems because they rely on physicality on the perimeter. I can assure you Akron will not have 44 free throw attempts tonight. Lean Ohio.

#19 Posted: 2/26/2012 4:57:00 PM Colorado is a spot play. Catching the Bears with a short rotation on the back half of a 4-day swing through the Rockies. Senior Night for the Buffs, honoring 3 key contributors in Brown, Tomlinson, and Dufault. Boyle apologized to the fans for the awful showing on Thursday night against Stanford and I've become a big believer in his ability to motivate after bad losses. Kamp/Kravish have done a nice job since losing Solomon, but they'll have their hands full with Roberson at altitude. CU plays the Oregon trip to close out the season, so today becomes the biggest game of the year for the Buffs. In watching the first game, the CU defense did a terrific job cutting off Gutierrez' dribble-penetration and didn't let Cobbs/Crabbe get going for the perimeter. Cal doesn't have an inside scorer as Kamp and Kravish get their points off of penetration by the guards. If the driving lanes are cut off, I don't see how Cal puts points on the board.

#20 Posted: 2/26/2012 4:59:30 PM Illinois has lost 9 of their last 10. They are favored by 7 against Iowa, with the line moving with the chalk.
Excuse me? Something go on here?
Colorado debacle from a few days ago....they sure can't play any worse today. |

#21 Posted: 2/26/2012 5:27:40 PM I've watched way too much Cal basketball this year, I can assure you Kamp doesn't need penetration to score. Maybe Kravish as he's more about putbacks, but defeintely not Kamp.
Agree that Boyle is the man and I have been fearing this game ever since Cal gave the game away @OSU and even more @Wazzu. Roberson's talented and can jump, he's just a rebounder to me though. I think the Bears need to play good perimeter defense and they'll win.
Who knows if that happens especially after watching the Arizona game, so i'm nervous

Fair enough. From what I've seen, Kamp has a decent mid-range game but isn't the same scorer on the low block as he was before the injuries. Either way, Gutierrez is the engine that makes the team go. If CU can defend him, they probably win.
If Cal survives this one, you have to feel good about your future bet, right? Probably a small fave at Stanford with Washington a for sure underdog as UCLA. And Cal holding the tiebreaker, of course.

#25 Posted: 2/26/2012 9:20:21 PM Miami game is a good example of why I don't like betting against teams missing their star players. The rest of the team often galvanizes and compensates.
