Why the hell is this line so high? Clemson shouldnt be laying this kind of number to any team with a pulse. I feel that this line and total will both go down. Milton Jennings is back tomorrow and will not start...
This line makes no damn sense...
On the surface it doesn't seem to make sense, but look at the lines they got with regards to a common opponent in the last three games: Virginia Tech.
Maryland was +2 at home against Virginia Tech
Clemson was +3 on the road against Virginia Tech
Becuase you get 3.5 to 4 points for being at home, Clemson would have been about a PK against VT on a neutral site (seems about right) and -4.5 at home against VT (again, seems about right)
So for comparative purposes:
Maryland was +2 at home against Virginia Tech
Clemson would be about -4.5 at home against Virginia Tech.
That's a 6.5 point difference if this game were on a neutral court. Considering Clemson is home, line should actually be around -10 but obviously can't be based on the perception of these two teams right now.
Maryland just isn't a very good team. KenPom has them #135 in the nation, #104 in offensive effeciency and #186 in defensive effeciency. They're playing way above their heads and are due to regress. We're seeing this now with another squad that was performing similarly (San Diego State).

Maryland is coming off back to back emotional games. Before they blew that game Saturday to North Carolina, they rallied from double digits late on Thursday night only to lose in double OT I believe. I know they're kids, but could be running on empty.
Clemson also coming off back to back losses. Line might actually be cheap, in my opinion.

Nope, this line is just trending to where it should be... in post #2 I detailed that this line may actually end up being higher (around -10) then where it opened. I expected this line move.
