"In transition, we're just out playing and not thinking too much," Lacey said. "Just go score. In half-court offense, we settle and think too much, and I think some guys force into their play instead of just playing. In transition, there's no certain way to go. You just go."
The Bulldogs became the first opponent all season to outscore the Tide around the rim. Mid-range jumpers were the solution to tough interior defense.
Those issues can be solved with changing the pace of play.
"It's too slow," Grant said. "We've got to manufacture different ways to get points. We limit ourselves sometimes with the decisions we make and the choices we make on the floor."
Grant said his team needs to "step outside of our comfort zone" on occasion against a Vanderbilt team that thrives on fast play.

CAL and WASH are pretty evenly matched. CAL will lead the first half....WASH + home team advantage will finish them off as the game nears the end. I've been pretty good at these combo deals..just my input.

Glad you mentioned the Wash St. game. Wash St. lead the 1H in this game. It was Wash who finished them off in the 2H. I played this game and won with Wash.

Grant isn't going to turn Bama into LMU of the 90's. I think he wants us to look for more transition oppurtunities that will result in a few more easy buckets. I think Bama will also look to get after Vanderbilt full court a little more as well. There is no way I would lay the points with Bama here because I think it will be a pretty good game but I will be shocked if Bama doesn't play really well tonight. The OVER is the better play here IMO. I think Bama wins by 5-8! I think Releford will excel in tonight's game because Vandy will not be able to keep him out of the lane (Saturday at Rupp will be a different story!).
