Question

125-106-2 ytd netting &#x2B;108.5 units...19-25 (POD&#x27;s) -131 units...2-0ats yesterday netting &#x2B;40 units and currently on a 10-3-1  run netting &#x2B;116 units. Pittsburgh&#x27;s offense has been pitiful in their last 3 outings shooting 39% vs Wagner in a loss @ home, 40% in a loss @ Notre Dame &amp; 41% in a loss at home to Cincinnati. If you didn&#x27;t have any questions about their offense before this 3 game slide you should most definitely have some now. Although Depaul has not fared rather well on defense I believe combining Pitt&#x27;s inability to score recently at a consistent level with their ability to actually play solid defense helps this game stay under the total. Depaul has just 2 wins over D-1 teams with winning records (Texas Tech &amp; Cal Poly), as their success on offense very well may be fools gold in relation to numbers. That&#x27;s were I like Pitt&#x27;s defense and ability to slow things down a bot to step in. In those 3 losses that I just spoke of involving Pitt they held their opponents to shot attempts of 49, 53 &amp; 65 which is good to know because Depaul will try and push things as they average 62.7 shots per game (Again that was against very weak opponents). I like my chances for this game to stay under as Depaul&#x27;s offense will be put to the test tonight...I was very happy to see this one got bet up to such a high number...Fordham@Umass over 142 for 20 units... These 2 teams have played over the total now in 6 straight meetings. Umass ranks 2nd in the Nation in the shots per game department at 65.8. This game reeks of an easy shot at hitting the over with Fordham&#x27;s offense coming together under coach Tom Pecora. Umass&#x27;s style is the key here though...PODLoyola-Chicago &#x2B;8.5 for 20 units... The Penguins are in a bad spot here laying this kind of chalk IMO...

From the looks of that schedule I wouldn&#x27;t be shocked to see a Pitt win and cover, but as someone once said earlier this year when teams get them selves out of the gutter (aka Depaul), it can take months for the betting markets to catch up in relation to ATS numbers. So thats one of the reasons why i&#x27;m not will to actually wager on Pitt tonight as it remains to be seen that Depaul is yet as good as their record or not. The books have been consistently wrong up to this point on Depaul spreads as they have covered 66.6% of their games this season. The side is a very tricky pick IMO on this game but I do like the Panthers a bit...

But in relation to the 2 teams you just spoke of that is one heap of points to cover for the Vikings to cover tonight, can&#x27;t argue with that thought process. It may be the trap of the night though as it looks really easy to just snag those points. Glad I laid off of James Madison last night. A wise man once told me that when laying big spreads it&#x27;s better to be laying the points when it seems so easy to take the points instead. Haven&#x27;t even looked at the NBA card tonight but I did read today that Paul Westphal got fired today. Such a shame that Demarcus Cousins bad attitude most likely lead to this decision. I never had the chance to read to much into what Cousin&#x27;s whole issue was but iv&#x27;e always been a person to side with the coach until other wise informed...BOL tonight...

I try really hard to not write non-sense. If I start spewing blah, blah, blah&#x27;s while typing a write up and it doesn&#x27;t make sense, it gets erased. No reason for anyone to have to read non sense as I try and cut right to the betting angles of importance. Or in most cases what;s swirling in my head. Adding:Umass 2nd half -6.5 for 10 units... Just watching this game is like watching a bomb ready to go off. I also like the 2nd half over but since it&#x27;s basically the same as the full game wager I like playing this number better. There 2 teams threw up a combined 73 shots in the 1st half. The shooting percentages should rise in the next half and it may very well favor Umass...

Pittsburgh@Depaul under 146 for 20 units...  This one turned into a foul fest in the 2nd half as Pitt did not live up to playing solid defense...0-1 so far netting -20 units...

Late night add on:UC-Irvine@Pacific under 133.5 for 10 units... Irvine is shooting just 39% from the field while Pacific is shooting just 40%. With both teams below 60 shots per game (Irvine 59 &amp; Pacific 54) I think we have a good shot at hitting an under with 2 offense&#x27;s that 220th &amp; 277th....

That 2nd half played almost exactly how I expected. I just tried to sneak in a 2nd half cover on a better number with Umass. Umass totally out played Fordham in the 2nd half with the full court press speeding the tempo. Tom Pecora coached teams just continue to play with well timed aggression and discipline...

UC-Irvine@Pacific under 133.5 for 10 units...2-3 on the night netting -4 units... Horrible finish to the day. as these 22 combined for 24 3 balls on 53 attempts (45%). They both averaged just over 7 per game on the season...
