Can't complain at all at starting 3-0, but it's a long season fellas and we're just getting started.
My Boilers open the season at the newly renovated (and might I say a damn good improvement) Mackey Arena as Northern Illinois invades West Lafayette. At this current time, my book doesn't have the lines posted but another book has it at Purdue -26 right now
Let me say this first - this is a somewhat "new" team that I'll be seeing as we're trying to replace the dominate duo of Big Ten player of the year JaJuan Johnson and E'Twaun Moore, but at the same time get Pre-Season 1st teamer Robbie Hummel back after missing the end of the 2010 season and the entire 2010-2011 season due to two ACL injuries. He is the focal point of this offense and I look forward to a big year from him. Speedy PG Lewis Jackson will run the show and while he has no outside shot whatsoever, this guy just makes great hussle plays, distributes the ball very effectively, and plays solid defense. Aside from those two, the starting lineup/rotation for the first couple games will be very interesting. We got a lot of guys that can play multiple positions and it will all depend on matchups. You'll see some talented freshman and guys you may not have heard much of playing key roles (Freshmen PF Donnie Hale and Jacob Lawson, redshirt freshman Anthony Johnson). So it'll be a bit unpredictable to see how Matt Painter has his rotation play out.
One thing I know is that 26 points is a LOT, no matter who Purdue plays. They don't tend to blow teams away. Especially in the first game of the year and some new faces on the floor, I can see Painter playing around with different lineups when Purdue stretches the lead in the 2nd half. If that's the line I get, I will most likely be playing the Huskies small.
Will firm up the card once I get lines posted.

I like Northern +26. Like you said Purdue doesnt blow out many teams and it will take some time for them to gel this year. I see a 15-20 point Purdue win.

good luck Purdue,I hated to go against your team, but I think the 26 is just a few to many to lay for them in the 1st game of the year, and not knowing what effect the layoff will have on Robbie. I think he will be just fine, but hoping it takes them a couple games to get it all together.
