I guess thats what you do when you are about to get kicked out of college and your coaches ask you not to return to the team.  Yes, he's that big a shitbag.

   you knew that going in, or weber should have, if he watched him play ONE high school game.  sometimes it is amazing what these coaches think about.  "oh, can the kid dribble, shoot and dunk?  ok, we'll take him."  "is he a good kid?  who cares. he can score."

I believe he played for Illinois?  Wasn't much of a shooter, just an athletic body...decent offensive rebounder.

Hmmm, let's see. I'll take my own run business, family with kids, as more success then playing basketball in Israel or where ever his average talents end up. So no, he is wrong in my opinion.

His "trouble" was not going to class. Unless the NBA has adopted some recent rules that force players to attend class, I don't forsee a problem with any trouble.

Kid's a good kid. Was used entirely wrong at Illinois, and his future will prove that.

He didn't get in a fight with Brandon Paul ? How many High schools did he attend in 4 years NROPP ?

I liked the way the kid played the game,but give me a break....there's a bad attitude in there some where and that was questioned before he went to Illinois. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I have little details about the "fight". Could have been a heated exchange, could have been Tyson vs. Holyfield. The way this team played down the stretch, including both of these two you had mentioned, there was obviously built-up anger.

Bad Attitude - yes. It really starts with going to class. Started in high school. He attended 2 schools. Started out at North Shore Country Day HS, for one reason, and that's grades. Unfortunately, like I have mentioned, he did not care about grades. He wanted publicity for his talents, he committed to Illinois as a freshman, so he got into a "bigger" program that got some notoriety beyond playing other prep schools. So he went to Waukegan. And, he got noticed, to the tune of being a McDonald's all-american.

I'm not trying to stick up for the kid. Am I upset he's gone so early? Yah. I waited four years to get him in an Illini uniform and it lasted a couple months, due in large part to....grades. He got along with everybody on the team well. His +/- on the court was better than any other person on the team.

Bottom line, every "situation" he was thrown into, fights, not showing up, leaving, etc...was handled completely wrong. At other programs, coaches speak up, discipline, and move forward. Get it out in the open, and move forward. My point here is, everything that happened this year is pure speculation. Not a single person outside of that lockerroom has any idea of what happened. McDonald All-American's come to programs to play right away. He didn't play enough from the start. 

Fortunately for this kid, he's been given another chance. He gets to concentrate on the game, without having to worry about grades or going to class or any of that other garbage. Do I expect him to succeed? I have no idea, but he has the talent to do so. Anyone who can look at this draft class and say he is not top 30 talent has no knowledge of the game.

6'7 205 lbs and he doesn't shoot the ball very well, where will he earn the money in the NBA nropp....count me in that group of people who don't have any knowledge of the game.

NBA doesn't draft on talent, they draft on potential. The kid wasn't put in a position at Illinois to succeed on the perimeter. He was the four-position. He can shoot just fine. He played PG and SG before coming into Illinois, and he shot it awfully well. Don't take one year of playing a wrong position as "he can't shoot".

He can defend, and distribute, probably two of his best attributes, and that will land him on a squad.

Very disappointed in the kid.  It is called maturity and unfortunately he doesn't have it yet on or off the court. 

Is quite an athlete who would have developed with time.  Hopefully things can workout for him.  Probably best slotted in the small forward position.  Never gonna be that great outside shooter.  He plays real well around the basket and is active on the glass. Best of luck to him wherever he lands.

The kid is a horrible shooter at this point he scored most of his points in high school close to basket

didn't he spend a little time at evanston?  he wasn't PG at waukegan. he might have played a little point when he was telling his teammates to clear out, or when he told the coach he was playing point. but they had excellent backcourt guys; nickerson who is at fairfield i think and kid named spriggs?  they sure didn't need this guy at point.  i saw his act at deerfield when they won in overtime.  the whole package was not pretty. attitude, sportsmanship, the kid who went to wisc outplayed him.
