36-17-1 on the season in Terp games
I was two buckets away from hitting both last night but instead lose both. Two buckets is a bunch in CBB. Not sure what NCSU's deal was for the first 10 minutes of that game but they killed both bets by having their head up their asses.
No line yet for the Dook game at 7:00 and I am headed to work. All I can do right now is specualte on the line, put down a few thoughts and hope to have some time to post a play before maybe 6:15 tonight.
Dook is the team we love to hate and this year we have played them well one and terrible another time, losing both. We played them very well at Dook and folded right at the end though it was tight throughout. At Comcast, they hot from everywhere, Singler and Plumlee in particular, and we had no chance. They come in in "bad" form for Dook. Not bad when you compare their play of late to most teasm but bad by Dook standards. I am sure they will be fired up to get their shit back on track before the Dance. As always, Dook seems to have these unreal shooting nights against my Terps. Not sure why since we actually play pretty solid defense but we an expect the best they have.
Obviously the Terps have their backs as against the wall as a back can get. That doesn't mean we will win obviuosly but for sure a reason to motivated will be there. If the Terps can put it all together again, we stand a chance. We are very up and down so an efffort like we gave against Miami, Uva or BC and we get the hell beat out of us. There was a part of me that wanted UNC instead becuase UNC does not shoot the ball well consistently. The flip side of that is that we are too small to compete with the Tarholes on the boards for an entire game so pick your poison. I think we have to go inside all night and get points in the paint. If we have a chance to win, JWill will have close to 25 points and Stogs, Dino and "someone" will also have big games. It would be great to see PeShon come in with 6-8 assists also. We HAVE to have one of the seniors or Mosley step up tonight and if they don't then fuck'em. If this was your last big game EVER and you can't get up for it with an all out performance, then good riddance.
I think if we can keep Singler from going off and a Plumlee frick and frack clwon does not kill us, we stand a chance SU. Nolan Smith will get plenty but it's Singler who scares me most. Him added to Smith is a death wish if he is hitting like he did against us at Comcast.
I expect the line to be around 8-9 and a total in the high 140's to low 150's based on lines this year. I think the line will be shaded some based on the Terps having to win. If the line is double digits, I am all over the Terps. Anything under 6 and I will play Dook. 6-10, I just have to think about it. Total under 145 has me playing over. Over 152 and I play under. 146-151 ad I am undecided.
This has been a very weird season and again, my Terps are very hard to guage game in and game out. Suffice it to say that a win tonight would right alot of wrongs and give all of us Terp fans a reason to hope. Not sure we an do it as sometimes the pressure to win fucks you up worse than you'd think.
Getting to and hitting at the FT line will be key for us tonight. JWill staying out of foul trouble will be too. Stogs cannot have an out of ontrol game like last night and must contribute 20+. PeShon has to come in and play tough D and hand out some dimes. One of the seniors/junior posse must come up big. So many "Musts". Gonna be interesting to see who shows up but hell, if you have to get a signature win, at least the stage is set. Ready to throw up all ready as I hate this fucking Dook team with all that is inside me.
