There were reports Thursday that sophomore guard Jio Fontan had decided to transfer from Fordham after the fall semester ended.

"I think you could say he didn't understand what was going on," McLaughlin said of Fontan. "Jio and Dereck had their differences. Nobody knew about this. Jio was at the team meeting and we expect him to be at practice."

It's not that the Ville is not as good as people expected this year, it's just that they're a young team and young teams typically struggle early on.  That being said, I'm all over Charlotte +19 as the Ville has 3 guards out today (Smith, Siva, Knowles).  All three are major factors.  I'm a Louisville fan and I think they don't even win by DD.

Fontan did not attend the Rams practice Wednesday and said he will not play in any further games at Fordham."

He is leaving after the semseter regarding academics...so unless something has changed...this is the deal
