And not just any Big 10 team; one of those Big 10 teams that generally suck against the ACC.
And then you have a Clemson team that have feasted on the Big 10 teams in the yearly challenge. In this decade, Clemson is 6-3 ATS against the Big 10 since the '00-'01 season.
Defensively, Michigan's 1-3-1 zone defense matches up very well against Clemson's length because Michigan have adequate size to deal. This defense is a very good perimeter defense. Spot defense from Manny Harris, Zak Novak, and Stu Douglass should cause enough problems for perimeter guys like K.C. Rivers and Terrence Oglesby and the point-man Demontez Stitt. The next step is taking care of slashers like Booker and Sykes. I expect DeShawn Sims and Michigan's excellent rotating defense to limit those 2's driving lanes, somewhat.
Trendwise, you really can't back up any Big 10 team against the ACC. You have to pick your spots and this is a good spot. I think.
Nonetheless, i think the "lucky" side tonight is...
Michigan versus Clemson - Take the Wolverines +4½!
$530 to win $500
1-3 in the afternoon games. Just about even $$$ because the big play on Northern Iowa came through. Hopefully, Michigan can put me/us in the black for the day.
GL & cheers.
