NCAAB - Wednesday 11/26 - BIG AFTERNOON PLAY

RICHMOND -2 (2.75 UNITS) - The Bradley Braves have had a decent run the last few years and the novice gambler will have a positive view on them when looking at the line. However, this is a much weaker version than the Bradley team we have seen the last few years. Daniel Ruffin and Jeremy Crouch are gone and this team has really struggled. They lost an exhibition game to Wisconsin Platteville and also lost by 12 to UM Kansas City while squeaking out a 4 point win over the ever powerful Florida Gulf Coast. If you look at their 4 game stats, it is very troubling. They have only 41 assists in 4 games compared to 76 turnovers. That is a staggering 0.54 assist to turnover ratio. Yikes. Long known as a team that can count on the 3 ball, they are 19 for 83 from behind the new arc for 22.8%. Meanwhile, I really like this Richmond team. I began liking them last season with their strong effort game after game and their incredible first half point spread run where I believe they ran off something like 12 straight first half covers. That's good coaching. Richmond's stock was rising last night when they were asleep at the hotel. In their opening game this season, they gave the Syracuse Orangemen all they could handle at the Carrier Dome in a 76-71 loss where Richmond had a 7 point halftime lead. Last night, we saw that the Orangemen are for real and set for a nice run this year as they beat Kansas in overtime in a game played in Kansas City. Richmond comes in off back-to-back double digit wins over UM Kansas City and Florida Gulf Coast, the same two teams in this tournament that Bradley struggled with. Richmond is shooting 54% from the two this season and has a 51:41 assist to turnover ratio. With two common opponents, the statistical edges are even more convincing early in the season. This is the 3rd game in three days for both teams. Bradley averages 21 three point attempts a game and it's difficult to believe they will shoot any better today with tired legs. Richmond is the better team and they play more cohesively.

Agree, sort of...Richmond doesn't rebound very well...actually kind of pitiful.
