Nadal v Lopez

Does anyone else think Lopez can get a set tonight?  I'm eying o3.5 +177 or Nadal 3-1 +333 / 3-2 +867.  I think this line really is too valuable for the dog here and I think he has a great shot to take at least 1 set.  Nadal's serve isn't special so he is very breakable.  Thoughts?

i believe lopez beat him in straight sets about 6 or 8 weeks ago

I remember that game, it was a predictable letdown for Nadal after amazing effort in a perfect clay season for him.

That game Rafael was only -285 fav because anybody knows Nadal need a rest and he will drop that game.

So, this game doesn´t count, Nadal will try to win hi first time ever Grand Slam in New York.

feliciano lopez can give trouble to nadal
but i wouldnt bet on lopez to win a set , for now lets just watch
nadal is playing just ok.

Tank job by Nadal. He had just played a shitload on clay and had Wimbledon coming up. I bet on Lopez +220 and watched the match... definite tank.

To the OP: I think he will get steamrolled tonight. He has no backhand and his form since that upset has been horrific. He is overrated and I think Nadal will fully expose that tonight.

Looking at who is left in this draw and potential matchups, Nadal over Lopez and Wozniacki over Cibulkova are the last two blowouts you can bank on IMHO. gl.

Cannot believe no one else commented on this.

Have you been watching his matches at all this tournament? Guy is now serving in the 130s consistently. His serve is now a big weapon and it is one Nadal held back until this tournament. He did not face a single break point the first two sets vs Simon in his last match, and Simon is a world class returner while Lopez sucks at it.

I do not think he has been broken all tournament.

did anyone watch Dent destroy Lopez? This guy could barely get a game won against Dent on a hard court recently and now he is going to win an entire set off of Superserving Nadal?

Lopez is a much better grass player...because his backhand slice has more bite on the grass. Plus Nadal tanked that match big time.

Lopez is one dimensional...he has a decent 1st serve and a good forehand....his backhand is YMCA quality.

Nadal hasn't been broken yet this tourney. And Lopez has a horrible return game. Nadal is better than Lopez in every aspect of the game.

Its windy tonight and Nadal is maybe the best wind player on tour. I suspect he eats Lopez for dinner

Going against most of you here...

I've seen Nadal get off to a slow start so many times... and now, he has to start at close to 11pm?  I think Lopez steals one of the first two sets...  And then Nadal cruises from there, like he always seems to do.

WOW nadals serve is about as good as lopez is bad

and that is AMAZINGLY GOOD at bad

Rafa not broken all tournament and I doubt Lopez is the first but he has 0-30 at 1-3.

Very huge on Rafa 3-0 and about 3 units on under 32.5.

hahahaha 0-40 and a second serve and Lopez still cannot break. Not gonna get another look at a break like that all match IMO.
