Longest match in Aussie Open history
Not a big deal. Both guys barely moved as it was all serve.

We think alike, but I would be careful also. If the odds are too short, such as only +140, I will be staying away. Keep in mind Tomic won 3 tiebreakers against an out of form clay court specialist. If the public is on Tomic I may actually wait for the line to shift and take Muller at good odds.

All good points. I'm thinking +200 or more, he is 16 years old. Any less and everything obviously changes.

From the ATP official website:
Luxembourg's Gilles Muller became the winner of the longest match in Australian Open history, prevailing over 27th-seeded Spaniard Feliciano Lopez 6-3, 7-6(5), 4-6, 4-6, 16-14 in five hours and 34 minutes on Court 7. Muller, currently ranked No. 87 in the South African Airways ATP Rankings, reached the US Open quarter-finals last year as a qualifier; he defeated World No. 5 Nikolay Davydenko in the fourth round before losing to eventual champion Roger Federer.
Muller will next confront 2008 boys’ singles champion Bernard Tomic (pictured), who thrilled the Australian tennis fans at Margaret Court Arena by defeating Italian Potito Starace 7-6(5), 1-6, 7-6(5), 7-6(6) on his Grand Slam debut. At 16 years and 103 days of age, Tomic is the second youngest man to play at the Australian Open. His countryman, Lleyton Hewitt, was 15 years and 337 days old when he lost in the 1997 first round as a qualifier.
"It's a dream come true to win a first round in my first Grand Slam," said Tomic. "I'm just thrilled that I could pull off a win today. With the crowd behind me, it was an unbelievable experience. If the crowd wasn't there, I wouldn't have pulled it off in the end. It was good for them to be there. Hopefully I can have a better crowd in the next match."

I could not help myself, i bet on Muller at -325 at pinnacel. i just cant see him losing to this 16yr old kid who struggled just getting into the tourney. I know i know, its a lot of chalk but i just cant help myself!!!!! Looks like a lock arghhh. Hate using that word, and im just kidding, its not a lock but it should be higher.
Laying -325 on a guy who just played 5hours 34minutes on a court temperature of 130 F. No thanks.

Not many dogs won last night, especially with as long odds as Tomic, but this may change in R2.
Cheers to whoever posted Korolev as an first day dog (+125) to take out Moya. Bet they didn't expect it to be a 3-setter. Missed out on taking Kohlby at +100 after the line moved towards Querry before match time.
