I've been a bench warmer on Covers for a long time and have improved my wagering in all sports with tremendous insight from people who really understand the art of capping.
My rule #1 - I will never bash or be rude to anyone no matter what they think of my picks.
My rule #2 - I will never post an emoticon as a response to a post. If I don't have anything of value to write, I won't respond. So much valuable information gets lost in a sea of handshakes and smiley faces.
Real rule #1 - I am here to make money with your help.
Ok...time to get jealous. I'll be at the Masters Wed-Sat monitoring my wagers in person. I've been going the last several years and the National is better than you can imagine. Still no luck getting to play the course. But it will happen?
Posted record 0-0 duh this is my second post
USGA handicap 2.5 like this matters in wagering
1 unit = $100.00
KEY WAGERING MATCHUPS - source 5dimes
All wagers are for the tourney.
Romero over Baddeley -120 3 units
Starting with my sleeper. This kid is 5 foot nothing and out drives Tiger. His game has not been laser sharp lately...but, Baddley is just plain BAD right now. Short juice and even if they both miss the cut Andres should better BADdeley.
Anybody over Adam Scott
Karlsson -165 5 units
Westwood -160 5 units
Karlsson has played solid at Augusta and seems to be in the thick of it every week on the PGA or Euro events. Scott is romping around with his hollywood girlfriend (Kate Hudson) and while he has had one good showing this year. He has been solid fade money for me all year. Lee Westwood earned me 8 units last week and he was my pre tourney pick to win...he had it rolling until the whack schedule and wind in Houston caught up with him and many players.
So, if Scotts chic is in town. He will be the only one having fun as there is NOTHING to do in Augusta at night. The rest of the field will be sleeping well while Adam is get'n some.
Perry over V.J. -155 2.5 units
Allenby over V.J. -140 2.5 units
Vijay is not the VJ we know. Some back problems have slowed this legend down lately and his scores show. Missed the cut last week and with the length and difficulty of Augusta he'll need cortisone, accupuncture and a faith healer to compete. On the other hand Kenny Perry has been money in the bank this year. One of the few guys that will not hit the senior tour when he is eligible. His game is on point. And Robert Allenby is quitely shooting low numbers every week.
Couples over Immelman -115 1 unit
This is a feel good pick. Freddy had the finish line insight last week and had a minor putting meltdown on the back 9. He might even pull a Nicklaus and show this field a little something about experience and take it down. That would be rad!
I will always bet several 2 or 3 player parlays for .5 and 1 unit with a combination of the big and small juice lines. These will not be posted plays. This has worked very well for me when I misfire on a straight wager. Call it a backdoor hedge.
Thanks for taking the time to read my first offical post. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Look for me on TV this week, I'll be easy to spot.
