should croatia easily defeat turkey?

i dont follow soccer much but have been hearing that Croatia has been playing extremely well and is 3-0 in their group.

i hear that turkey has many injuries/important players out, so i wanted to ask you guys your thoughts on the croatia game tomorrow against turkey..

croatia is fav. in my book around -120

please give me input and info that i should know guys! as well as what you are picking..thanks in advance!!

They should win, they could win but that does not mean they will win.  Turkey had about 12 horse shoes up their asses to get into the final, they lost about 7 players to suspension and injury as well.  Croatia has been playing very well as of late and i can see almost everyone on Croatia winning tomorrow.  The problem is that Croatia is not really great at anything, they are good at everything and one miss-step and they could be in a spot they have never seen in this tournament.  Everyone had Portugal to win today, everyone has the Netherlands to win Saturday and most if not all will be on Croatia tomorrow.  I see most being on Spain as well.  Bottom line is that all of these favs aren't going to lose, some or one will win.  Croatia and the Netherlands are most likely the favs to go through in my opinion.  They played solid all the way through the tourney even with their subs.  We had Germany upset today and Italy could upset as well.  These are tough games to call, anything can happen.

Croatia tends to play down to whoever they are playing. They raised their game against Germany and I hope they can play the same way against Turkey. I'm betting Croatia ML and a little bit on the draw just in case!

this is an easy one. Croatia all the way. Turkey doesn't stand a chance. Here are my reasons:
 
Croatia beat Germany
Germany beat Portugal
Portugal beat Turkey
 
Croatia can beat Germany. They are playing higher level.  I think either Croatia or Holland can this Euro2008 cup.
 
I picked Germany over Portugal today. Why? Because this dog has a chance to beat Portugal. Reasons:
 
Qualified Round:
Polland tied with Portugal 2 : 2
German beat Polland 2 :0
 
That means German can beat Portugal.
 
My prediction:
Croatia 2:0 or 3:1

Thats the worst logic ive ever seen for why a team should beat another team.

 

The White sox beat the Pirates today

The Pirates beat the Nationals

The Nationals beat the Phillies

The Phillies beat the Red Sox

 

So the Phillies should be the fucking champions of the world

i dont totally agree with his logic but i DO know that turkey has about 6 of their starters OUT due to injury/suspension, correct?

turkey has been lucky to have gone this far and i think croatia has played well they are not great but good enough to get through i believe.

man National games are different. They are entertainment. They play a lot of games. LAS VEGAS controls easily.  National players are playing for money, not f..king pride man. You know that.
 
International games are more PRIDE, especially Elimination Round.  Represent your country man. Las Vegas cannot control this shit.  International games involved a lot of bookies. Macau, Vegas, Italian Mafia, etc.

One thing is for sure Croatia are very and i mean very strong defensively, they dont defend as defenders, they defend as a team, that means there mentality and motive is to keep a clean sheet from the back to the front. Their midfielders defend and come back at all cost, very rarely will u see not all 11 or 10 players behind the ball

Croatia can score goals. Once they scored a goal, they play tough defense.  They will run out the clock.  It is hard for Turkey to score back.  They only way Turkey can stay in this game if Turkey can score first.

Beware... why are we getting Croatia at such a good price (-120), even though Turkey has so many injuries AND the public is loving Croatia?

IMO, it is because the teams play a similar style of football. I compare this game to the Russia/Sweden game. Sweden played a team like Spain well (similar to how Croatia played Germany) due to the contrast in styles. The Swedes are an athletic, hard working/tackling team who grind out wins or close results, especially against technical, passing teams who don't want to get kicked or get frustrated by 9 men behind the ball. Russia, and Turkey, will at times concede possession and counterattack. Both teams have the one or two star attacking players capable of beating any defense. Just my opinion...

I wouldn't be surprised if this game goes to penalties.

Watch out:
 
Turkey is an unusual team, they are pretty solid.. they wait until about the 65th minute to really start attacking, and thats when you will get worried with Croatia.
 
Croatia will need at least 2 goals up to beat the Turks.. this is a memerable year for the turks and will play their hearts out

ah, forget to say.. from last news.. There is no injuries in CROteam. 200.000 Croatian supporters will came to Wien today ,but only 10.000 with tickets.

I totally agree with you, they are a GOOD team, which means they are GOOD and not GREAT!!  I like Croatia to win but do not tell me there is no chance they lose.  We are in the here and now, qualifying games mean nothing now, neither do the group games.  It is a bad idea to believe that because of previous performance months ago and from last week guarantees a victory today.

as I said..there is no easily win in quartefinal. I know very well what is great,good and bad in my country team. For me it's great team because only 4 mil. people and such a good sport results,not only in soccer..

 + fantastic supporters. Watch tonight and you will see.

Bro, if you're betting on this game because your from Croatia and you love your team and they have fantastic supporters that is cool.  But one of the biggest rules in gambling is not to bet with your heart.  No matter what if you always bet with your heart you will always pick your team to win and your team does not win all the time, just like all th rest of them.
 
I hope you're right about the game tonight.
