First and foremost, I firmly expect both teams to score. Napoli needs the three points as the Serie A table is the only trophy that the team can win this year. Juventus’s form hasn’t been the best lately but they remain on top of the Serie A table with 58 points, just 6 points ahead of Napoli. A win for Napoli cuts that margin in half. As for Juventus, they can really start to expand that gap with a win themselves.
Napoli has scored 30 gaols in 13 home matches for an average of 2.3 goals scored per game. Juventus has scored 23 road goals for a average of right around 2 goals per game.
Juventus is in second place in overall scoring in Serie A while Napoli are right behind them, tied with Fiorentina. The odds makers expect a cagey match but I expect one that will be filled with chances.

Napoli has scored 2 or more goals in 10 of 13 games. Juventus have scored 2 or more in over half their games this year. Also, Juventus has a Champions League game next week which is why this is being played today but given their big 3-0 road advantage over Celtic, expect them to field their full squad today as their progression in Champions league is almost assured. Their focus will firmly be on winning this match to expand their lead.
Napoli has seen over 2.5 in 5 of their last 7 home games. Juventus has conceded in 6 of their last 7 road games.
If the game lands on two we get half our stake back so I’m willing to play this game over the 2.25.
Juventus is averaging just over 18 attempts on target per game this year while Napoli is just under 15 attempts on target. We will see chances in this game. I don’t doubt that.
Of course, with Serie A matches, there is always the risk of both teams showing up asleep but not today (or so we hope).
Keep in mind Napoli has scored at least 3 goals in their last 3 games hosting Juventus the last 5 head to head meetings at Naples has resulted in over 2.5 goals so the games played at Napoli have produced goals. We might be getting a better line because Napoli has trended under the total of late but I think this line adjustment (normally we see 2.5’s for Napoli games because of their explosive attack) is one to be bet the other way (over).
