I had to post this in this forum because I stay away from other forums here....anyhow from my close friend who I do trust, told me the Green bay Game NFL was fixed. The line dropped when plenty of huge offshore bets came in on KC. So for those of you who think there are a few fixed games in soccer...wake up it happens everywhere.
By the way I had the Pack for a unit in play ML so i was not privy to this info untill the end of the game.

Hey Malach It was odd... he was tight lipped, but im thinking either an inside job to raise some cash for the team in a game that does not matter... or the Mob...

I think there would be too much on the line for the Pack to go undefeated. Who would be the ones getting paid off?
ESPN reported last week that the players in Green Bay voted to keep everybody playing in order to "make the run"
Gotta give Cornell credit, as the Chiefs didnt flinch
I walked into my own trap, as the first thing I mentioned to my boss at work (who is a Pack fan) on monday was "Why did the LVSC make the opening line Pack -13.5 and not -14?"
~ to attract the Green Bay money...
The Pack should be embarrassed for losing to a team who has such a tough time scoring.

Hey Bake All I know is shit happens tons of cash came in on Green bay right before kickoff that dropped the line 3-4 points...I could not care less as I don't follow NFL that close. I do love the game and played it when I was young. The NFL has to wake up to the corruption within it just like the soccer world did, people have to get their heads out of the sand....

DJ, Im not doubting you, Im simply playing devil's advocate
I dont know where the line ended up, but Covers shows is hit gametime around GB -11.
Sounds like tons of money coming in on GB at the last second would RAISE the line, no?
Big money slamming KC would explain the line move from +13 to +11.
Personally, I should have just stayed off the game, as I didnt have the balls to take KC + the points.

I think every sports are fixed, but not every game. Only very selective games... especially the game in the news night and day on every channel.
Sport betting is like Wall Street. They pump up the game and get bettors in on the action and then pull the rug under them...
Western Hockey League...junior hockey...Canadian Football....not anywhere enough betting to make it worth fixing these games. I seem to make more money on lesser leagues and games...although, every sport can leave you shaking your head at times. At least it's junior kids giving it their best...something I can count on.

The enormous amount of money involved inevitably leads to the occasional fix. I also think a lot of the fixing really has nothing to do with gambling and everything to do with marketing and the creation of stories that serve to engender an interest in their respective leagues. The NBA is notorious for this, but that`s the league I follow the most so it could be more widespread.
I don`t let it bother me too much because I`m a really small time gambler. I always feel bad knowing that there`are people losing thousands of dollars on these games though.

I don't think it was fixed. Teams lose that's why there is only 1 undefeated team in NFL history. Players/Teams have bad games.
I know but as someone who has watched every single packer game intently, yesterday was extremely confusing. The Offense never ever got it together... they ALWAYS get it together at some point. Save for that last scoring drive they were helpless. It was all very strange.

Any given Sunday. The Chiefs get payed to play as well. Orton looked good, Packers were without Jennings and one of their best DBs... They're defense isnt that great. If the Packers lost at home I would question the game, but Arrowhead is a tough place to play. I dont see any reason why the Packers would lose on purpose. Makes no sense. You're telling me someone told the Pack to lose and not cover the spread? Very hard to fathom..

that scenario is extremely hard to fathom. I agree completely... If there was anything fishy it would have to be on the officials. The huge line move at the kick as well as the futility of the Pack just raised a few eyebrows i guess. The Packers defense is truly terrible but the offense has always bailed them out. We'll never know what happened (if anything happened at all) but assuming that nothing did, the Pack was just outplayed. Plain and simple...

I'm glad they lost. Now maybe they can pull the ego filled heads out of their asses and start playing good football. This defense is just brutal. how dod you go from being one of the best last year, to being one of the worst defenses? They couldn't cover me if they wanted too.
Oh and one more thing, fuck you Jermichael Finley, you no talent ass clown!
