I did, Sultan - thank you very much for the input . . . I think I will open an account with both books tomorrow after I get paid from the local book! Thanks again for sharing your thoughts! Much appreciated. . .
Now let's kick some butt today.

Hey pal, BOL today... I am not all that aware of soccer teams and bets. Is MAN CITY a good play today at -250? That is a lot, but if it looks good enough that they will win I was thinking about laying it... Thanks

Man City is unbeaten at home . . .they've won 8 and drawn 3 . . . while scoring 28 and conceding 14.
Bolton, playing away, has logged 2 wins, 2 draws and 6 losses, scoring 12 but conceding 21.
The downside (and the risk here today) is that Man City has been in a funk in their away games in 2010, including a 2-1 loss against Hull City on Saturday, Feb. 6th. . . however, while it is fair to say their away form has been weak, Man City has continued to play well at home during the same time period.
Tevez could not get his act together in the away loss to Everton . . . I hope he comes out on fire today . . .
Bolton is just a "blah" team to me - I can't really put my finger on it . . . I am prejudiced against them . . . which is a bad thing to base a wager on . . . they've lost 3 of 4 in January, their only win being a 1-0 victory at home against burnley . . . who has only scored 8 on the road while conceding 35 . . .
Bolton did just draw at home 0-0 against Fulham . . . but Fulham is hardly a 'good' road team . . .
So . . .I guess it comes down to Man City on the one hand hopefully getting back to 'home form' and wanting to atone for their lackluster recent results . . . versus whether Bolton's new coach can make significant advances reflected in Bolton's away form. . .
I'd stick with the -1 line . . . the ML was a degenerate bet on my part.

I cant get Man City at -1...Only -1.5. I have the money in my account to drop 500 to win 200. I am just trying to get some info on the 2 teams... I mean you locked them in at -250, so I guess you like them a lot to win today

Disbarred, nice write-up. Looks like we're both on the Citizens.
You forgot to mention Manchester's 7-game winning streak they have at home. Also, they conceded only 6 goals during this streak - they conceded 3 in a shooting practice against Sunderland, but only gave up 2 against top three EPL teams.
Should be an interesting match. GL to us.

Several weeks ago, on Monday, January 11, 2010, almost everyone on this board picked Man City at home to hammer Blackburn . . . it was one of very few games that day so most of us looked at it ... Man City didn't disappoint, winning 4-1. Does anyone remember that day? It was a fun day for all of us . . . I hope we get that same 'warm and fuzzy' feeling with Man City today . . . should be a harder game for Man City than the Blackburn drubbing . . . but my fingers are crossed for the Man City win.
