Highly, highly, highly, highly unlikely. 

But that won't stop me from trying anyways.  I'm not going to lie I really don't know that much about soccer (I can do like 100 straight keep-ups though ) but this is a fat price for the Americans to pull off an upset.  Just praying for a miracle I guess.

It may be a "big win" for USA but not a "step"  No one in the USA gives a rat's ass about soccer... ESPN is probably having their worst ratings ever at the moment... what a boring sport

I've never understood why people feel the need to go a sport's forum to atack the sport itself.

 

Fine, you don't like soccer.  So what.  Stay off the soccer forum.

 

Ther is no sport more boring than baseball.  I avoid the baseball forum, I don't bet on baseball, and I never do anything as childish as go to the baseball forum to say how boring it is.

 

Baseball has very little action, loads od commercials, and more steroids than all the other sports combined.

Baseball is the most boring sport hands down. Soccer is a beautiful game and the average american audience dont want to watch, so who cares that's their problem..they're missing out. Oh yeah and do you ever hear of the big names like Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham or Fernando Torres etc, being caught on steriods. Meanwhile Barry Bonds, Manny Ramierz and Alex Rodriguez .. some of the most recognizable names are being busted.

I actually can't play soccer for shit but love watching it.

I find it alot better to watch then both hockey and baseball.

It's unfortunate soccer will never fully catch on in the U.S.  People just can't seem to appreciate the simplicity and artistry of the game.

ok ok I agree that coming in to a forum to say a sport is lame and boring is flat out stupid, but come on now...baseball is 100x more exciting than soccer, i like both sports for what they are but there is very rarely anything to jump off your seat about soccer. However, international soccer is a great way to have national pride. GREAT FIRST HALF USA!!! 45 more minutes to shock the world!!!

And I want to say this right now, I am a regular in here and most would back what my thoughts are, but I NEVER bet the MLS games. The league suck IMO. I need quality soccer. I wake up at 7am hung over in the fall to watch EPL or Seria a games. You could not pay we to watch the US ones in primetime.

I have never understood the whole "beautiful sport" concept... what is beautiful about watching long haired guys run around faking injuries for 60 minutes with an end result of 0-0 or 1-0... Hockey is the same concept but 100x better
