Candy Cigarettes

Question

I was at a friends house last night and his 8 yer old had a pack of candy cig&#x27;s. I had no idea they were still around. Thought for sure they would&#x27;ve been illegal based upon the strict guidelines around regular cigarettes and the advertiment restricstions. oh well, i&#x27;m wrong again

If you&#x27;re talking about the gum ones, I thought they were fantastic. We had drug store about a mile away where I grew up and I&#x27;d always ride my bike up there to see if they had them.  It was always hit and miss and often times I ended up with Lickamade or Zots candy

Sell  for a large tobacco and candy distributor and let me tell you we sell the garbage out of them candy cigs. They are now called candy sticks. I also remember when I was younger pedelling down to the liquor store and buying the gum ones where you could blow the sugar out the end. Those are no longer around though.

Used to have the gum ones when I was little
we'd trade them and peddle them around the school like we were 12th graders

this was in like 5th grade

parents didnt even care about stuff like that back then..ppl thought it was funny. you used to be able to blow the power like sugar out of them...

we'd be trading garbage pail kid cards and puffing on gum ciggs at recess

the old candy cigarettes were white, made to look like a cigarette, painted red on the tip to resemble fire, and were packaged in boxes that resembled famous cigarette brands... and yes they tasted like crap, but kids loved them because they made us feel cool

now I think they are just called candy sticks, same crappy candy, but without the red tip, and no longer packaged to resemble cigarettes packs..
