How much do you tip a Delivery Driver?

1) Last week I got $0 tip off a $150 order

2) A gentlemen gives me 50 cents more in a $40 order and says "Keep the change"

3) Another gentlemen did a online order so it's already paid for, order was for $48 all he had to do is sign the receipt and write up the total (including tip), He crosses out the tip gives me $1.25 in change and says thats all the change he has. I should have told him why the fuck did you cross out the tip then dumbass.

LOL thats why i stopped delivering !&#xD;&#xA;Places should include Delivery charge for drivers on all deliveries !&#xD;&#xA;I had nightmare deliveries and got no tip after searching for where that dumb box was !  45 mins and then to get back had to go over bridge down to aurport and turn around to get back thats was 15 more mins total time 1 hr 10 mins for ZERO !

People are so cheap.  I generally tip 15%.  But carry out pizza is so expensive and not worth it in my opinion, so I only do that about once a year.

$5 bucks always. Never have a order over $20. Its how people make a living. I dont understand how people can be such ass holes when it comes to tipping. That is unless your delivery person is rude but have never had that happen. What are they going to tell you your total with a attitude? Give me a break. They are at your front door for 5 seconds. I would rather feel good about myself giving $5 on a $15 order then walk away feeling like a cheap ass giving $1 on a $15 order.

ONE person i dont tip is a Cab driver because these forgeiners never know where to go take long way around drive up the rates and never even help you with pacages !

WTF should i tip you ? A tip is for service provided !

NOT for paying for cab ride !

IF the srvice is Good i tip that waiter waitress or deliver person

IF they give me that attitude your lucky i give you $1

im sure he/she has or had some beef w. ur company before thats why he/she tipped nada. maybe u guys shortchanged him last time or something. i have no clue. but that is fk'd up on his part.

i dont order much. max is 20$ order and i tip 10%. i havent ordered in a couple years, but yes, ive been shortchanged or they fk'd my order or there is a delivery charge already in w. the order.

local chineses places around here always selling old fish/squid or chicken, they get such a bad rep!

It makes so much sense it&#x27;s almost stupid. At least everyone from the owner to the driver to the consumer knows what to expect from a financial standpoint.

In most cases it is 15% but if you just double the tax on all orders I found it averages out to the 15%, mostly more. I also consider the fact they are risking their life delivering MY food so I can eat...that factors in HUGELY!

if the service is good, i tip 15%. if it&#x27;s great 20%&#x2B; if it&#x27;s shit you get nothing. problem i have with pizza delivery is you pay for the zaa, then they add in a delivery charge on top, then you have to tip the driver. ur already paying a delivery charge so.... wtf. i just quit ordering the shit fuck em. as far as waitresses go, if ur awesome, i&#x27;ll tip 30, 40% sometimes. i would rather walk than take a cab, unless it&#x27;s -40c

i dont want to post the website, but i work for a website and we delivery HIGH CLASS FOODS for different restaurants in Toronto. So it's not like the orders are $20, it's around $35-$150 usually. My questions is...

Should I say something to the customers? I know I might get in trouble, but fuck someone has to say something god dammit.

And I do get $3.75 per trip, but then again we charge $7 for delivery and $9 for orders over $100

depends when the driver shows up i guess...if i have to wait an hour for a 30 minute order, screw him i give him a couple dollars

usually give 3 bucks for a 20 order, considering 3 bucks of my order goes to delivery charge to begin with.

i tip more at restaurants of course because they are constantly waiting on me. the delivery guy isnt refilling my beverage or cutting my pizza up and putting it on my plate and running to the fridge for extra dressing....so why would i tip the same percentages as i would for one that does.

now the people that piss me off are the ones at the pizza/chinese/subway places that give an attitude if i dont give them a tip at the counter when i pick it up. tipping expectations have gotten out of hand.

Some places do include delivery charges.  I worked at two different places in college delivering pizzas, a corporate place, and a mom and pop place.  The mom and pop place charged a dollar under 3 miles, $2 over 3 and $3 if it was over 6 miles and the driver got to keep the whole thing.  The corporate place charged 2$ regardless (although they only had a 7 minute delivery radius) but the driver only got .70 cents and the company kept $1.30.  Gotta love corporate america screwing their employees lol.  Made bank at the mom and pop place tho, and saw some old chick blowing her boyfriend one time.
