#1 Posted: 2/28/2012 4:09:11 AM Carrabba's all day for me. I just wish I could afford it more often!
I get the same thing every time... the Pollo Rosa Maria with Fettuccine Alfredo. Yummy! That is the bomb! |

#4 Posted: 2/28/2012 7:40:04 AM I try to avoid the major restaurant chains and patronize a few local guys. But Chili's serves a great sizzling fajita plate and their frozen margaritas are awesome too.

isn't there a real italian restaurant in your town?
pf changs? really? isn't there a real asian restaurant in your town?
I generally prefer restaurants that have chefs and menus, not corporate mandated concoctions thrown together in mass by anyone that can read a recipe card. |

I was in Buffalo recently - and I think they take the wings thing a little too seriously.
I mean it was on EVERY menu. If you went for italian, it was "Italian and wings", if you went for steak - the restaurant was "Steak and wings".
People are enormous there from eating wings for breakfast lunch and dinner.

Yea, i also like my food to be cooked, rather than prepared in a microwave
Hard to name a favorite, i am a bigtime foodie and always enjoy picking up a seat at the buffet of life. Brazillian BBQ is the garbage. I'm a big fan of all things S. American. My mouth is watering like hell right now thinking about good food. Often times, it's cheaper to eat some awesome food made by a chef on a cast iron, then it is to go to a chain and get beat in the head for some pre-prepared microwaved "food"

#13 Posted: 2/28/2012 10:41:56 AM Carrabbas is terrible imo. I've been there twice and neither was anything special. If you want an Italian chain, hit up Maggianos. Damn good for a chain.

being from NJ i would concur. i went to a carraba's once. never a macaroni grill or olive garden. there's no need here
same with pizza hut and dominos
sort of like never having red lobster if you are from maine...or bonefish grill but i like bonefish. high end chain. kona grill is excellent also as far as chains go

Steel, if you think Carraba's is good Italian food you'd probably shoot in your pants w/ the local Italian joints we have here in North Jersey.
I can kind of see your point b/c it's actually pretty good compared to the other restaurants they have in FL (save seafood restaurants). Their chicken marsala is pretty good. |
