#1 Posted: 2/21/2012 12:10:43 AM Funny I was down 1500 to him last week and he was licking his chops getting ready to collect. Big federer win followed by a nice hot streak and I'm up 1500 on him now. If the clippers win tonight I'll be up 4 grand/. I hear this guy has paid decent size losses before, but I'm still a little uneasy about trying to run it up first week. Collection day is next monday so I have a whole week to kill. I don't want to stop making wagers and piss him off and I also don't want to win so much where he tries darn me over. Just one of those annoying situations a gambler can find himself in. At least I was on this same hot streak with 5 dimes. I wonder which will payout faster |

#2 Posted: 2/21/2012 12:15:36 AM If you just met this dude and was a complete stranger before, you're a dumbass. If someone referred you and knows them well, you have nothing to worry about, good luck. |

#3 Posted: 2/21/2012 12:19:34 AM met him on the poker tables at a local casino and many of the other players bet thru him and vouched for him. One guy told me he got paid a 7 grand parlay a few weeks back. Still never know though. First week betting with a dude is foreign territory |

#4 Posted: 2/21/2012 12:26:09 AM you will never know until pay day next Monday. Hopefully, he will think you'll just lose it the following week.

#5 Posted: 2/21/2012 1:25:56 AM Never had a bookie before. I never do business with people who would not pay me and just kill me cuz they could decide it's cheaper to kill you than pay you. I don't trust anyone but i trust more online casinos and casinos to pay me more than some guy taking bets illegally. If going to a drug dealers house makes me nervous, i couldn't imagine going to a bookies house and expecting to get my winnings. Way to much bullshit and paranoia involved. |

Yep, none of that bullshit involved with an online casino/book

#7 Posted: 2/21/2012 1:46:27 AM messier, i'd call him and be honest. just say the same thing you wrote here.
"i don't want to kill you and i don't want you to get pissed if i stop to collect" ...... put the ball in his court. i wouldn't want to get up 10k or a big number like that.
is he always at the casino? do you know where he lives, goes regularly or anything like that? i know you travel around a lot.

#8 Posted: 2/21/2012 7:17:59 AM If I was you I'd try to lose a bet or two on purpose to keep his box wet, You know put $100 on something and another $50 on something dont bet more than that so you can afford the losses, If he sees you lose he wont be worried paying you out next week because he knows eventually you will lose your money but what he doesn't know Is were onto him.
Lastly you're probably wondering how can you lose a bet on purpose knowing that you could also win??? Here's how, I suggest tailing this guy in the NBA forum called Glock_II, You cant go wrong.

#10 Posted: 2/21/2012 8:31:15 AM First week with a guy its best to get a feel for it. I'd take the action down a bit and wait to see what happens monday, I doubt the guy who takes your action is gonna get pissed that you stopped betting when you're on a hot streak.
He's also a bookie who from what it sounds like has quite a few clients, i'm sure he knows all too well the highs and lows of sports betting, he knows that if you're like everyone else you'll regress and if not the others that regress make up for your winnings.

#15 Posted: 2/21/2012 1:07:33 PM i wouldn't be concerned in the least about how much i won from him. If he is a real book, i promise you he's got it covered. If he's not, might as well find out now.

There's me giving a lecture to the guy on how he should lose a bet on purpose and I completely ignore this little piece of info. |

#23 Posted: 2/21/2012 8:37:36 PM If he's a real bookie, it doesn't matter what the amount is, win or loss. He's in the wrong F'n business if he can't handle your action. Good luck. |

#25 Posted: 2/22/2012 8:49:35 PM Rape his friggin wallet. And then on payday walk up to him like you expect him to pay. Don't apologize and act all embarrassed that you won. Act like it's no big deal, because it's not a big deal. |
