Just remember to keep your head down and swing through the ball.

175 if you really count every shot, play the ball the way it lies and putt the ball in 18 holes.
i would recommend bringing the foot wedge and having a good time.
try to make solid contact. start with the correct grip etc ....
gl .... great game. you get it for life. ![]()

Yes...................but more importantly, don't hold your group up. Don't take 5 practice swings before every shot.......falling behind makes it tough on the guys in your 4-some. I don't mind playing with beginners but many times I feel like I have to rush my game because we're falling behind...........

.... can be annoying. some people just shouldn't be out there yet. chipping, putting, driving range A LOT .... then the course.

To each their own, but if you can't shoot better than 125, how much fun can that be.
Take the money it would cost you to play and spend it on a lesson. They will tape your swing (and show you how bad it is) and show you a proper grip and stance. That is half the battle. At least you'll have something to practice.
Right now, all you are doing at the range is in-graining bad habits. ![]()

everyone does this. i always try to tell them they need the correct grip and swing to start with.
learn the correct grip and swing ... chip, putt .... etc.
very hard game ..... but, if you start shooting in the 90's, then 80's you'll love it. 90 + 80"s = you need to put in lots of effort.
GL regardless .... love me some golf ![]()

I've played with someon who shot 130-140....doesn't mean they have to slow down play. Just get up there and hit it. It's the morons who can't play who take 10 practice swings and then hit it 10 feet that make me ![]()

Now this is just ridiculous
.
If you play for real, and count every shot, no mulligans, count every swing in the sand, take a penalty stroke when you hit it out of bounds, don't stop at double par on a hole, etc., breaking a 130 your first time out would be quite an accomplishment. I think my first time out, I shot somewhere around a 140 and was quite proud of that.
I play maybe 4-5 times a year, been doing it for about 10 years at this point and I have only broken a 100 a couple of times
