so today I purchase a $300 prepaid debit card from CVS.....i attempt to deposit it on sportsbetting.com tonight in hopes to make a bet on the home run derby.
The first 3 times the deposit did not go through but that was because I forgot to activate the card with greendot.com
After i did that, the card processor for sportsbetting.com would not accept another attempt because there was too many in one period.
So i go to live chat and one of the service reps named Gus Johnson suggests he send me an invoice from PAYPAL?? to my email.
I have never heard of a service rep from any betting site insisting on sending an invoice through paypal as a means of payment.
He said that after i paid for the invoice using my debit card, i would get a confirmation email through paypal on my purchase, and after i sent him the confirmation email, I would get the $300 funds applied to my account.
First thing i thought about the whole thing was that it had scam written all over it. In my mind i figured after i would accept the invoice he would just run away with $300 i just sent to him.
After all i dd not partake in this very strange ordeal. This is the email i had received:

Also, The Billing Company i wouldve been sending my money too through paypal was Chilippo Limited. After I looked that company up i saw zero results. Just looked like a scam

I also use sportsbetting.com and I used to be able to deposit my money through a visa gift card from the mall however after recently trying to apparently they now only work in the US only. I couldn't find an international pre paid credit card so I ended up just going through western union. I was told you get a bigger bonus doing it this way and your fees are taken care of by them. Sportsbetting.com is legit though. My friend has pulled out over 40k from them the last couple years.
