Wrestlemania Odds are out...

Initial thoughts:

I lean strongly Del Rio at -185 unless somehow Christian gets involved. I don't see any scenario where Edge wins, not enough value on the plus side for me.

Pass on the Taker match, obviously the easiest play of the night but I'm not about to be laying -2750 any time soon.

There is so much value in the Miz right now its not even funny. With the potential involvement of the Rock being rumored in this match, I could see a situation where Miz prevails with Rock's assistance or as a result of Rock-related shenanigans. A win for Miz in one of the top matches at Wrestlemania against John Cena would really cement his place in the WWE and how much they believe in him. I've already put down 4 units to win 40 on him. I think his price will go down drastically as we get closer to the event.

Orton/Punk is an interesting match, both guys could use the win, but something tells me Punk is probably going to be doing the job here. Orton has value at -120 and probably up to -180 I'd say in my mind.

Pass on Lawler/Cole, but obvious Lawler is getting to go over here. I don't see how the story progresses if Cole wins unless they absolutely want to make him the most hated heel in a long, long time. The tendency of the face finally getting to beat the heel is always the payoff to the storyline. Or maybe not always, but the vast, vast majority of the time. Still too much juice though. If Lawler got down to -1000 or better I'd throw him in a parlay.

The Rhodes line is smart. I think they are going to get a lot of money in on an underdog Mysterio, although logically Rhodes should go over here to advance his character, which has been fantastic since broke his nose.

Don't care about the women's match.

That Sheamus line is ridiculous as well. I would not at all be surprised if Daniel Bryan gets the win here. Why do you have Sheamus beat Bryan two weeks before the PPV for the US Title unless you want to have Bryan win it right back for a feel good moment in the PPV? If you want to give the title to Sheamus and have him keep it for a while, don't you wait the last two weeks and do it at the PPV?

Interesting potential plays: a Rhodes/Orton parlay? Rhodes/Orton/Del Rio parlay? How about if you are feeling gutsy a Bryan/Miz parlay?

Before I start reading...do NOT put in a bet until about 15 minutes before the event. Gotta get the best lines. Everyone takes the value so it'll be for the best.

I think the Daniel Bryan is the best bet on the board in terms of value.

Daniel Bryan is a STEAL at +350.

Both heels won't be going over in the championship matches- just can't see it. 

Is it just me, or has the hype for Undertaker/Triple H been HORRIBLE?  The best job in hyping the match has come from Shawn Michaels in a couple of video segments- the E has really dropped the ball with this match, IMO...

I say there is no value in The Miz because, to be honest, I think he loses due to the fact that, every time he's on TV, people tune out. This experiment is going south.

That -2750 line for Taker will go down under -1000 by the time it starts. Just throw it in a parlay because we know he won't lose.

Edge has nothing going for him anymore. Del Rio has a ton going for him so it's only fitting that he wins. WWE has done that with a lot of guys lately. Bringing them up super quick and winning the title. Swagger, Sheamus...who else? He's bound to win and then he'll probably start something with Christian in the future as Edge takes a step back.

I say Punk wins. He'll somehow get outside interference and beat Orton.

Agree with the fact about Lawler/Cole. You get nothing out of Cole winning.

I think Rhodes wins in some sort of cheating fashion involving a mirror or something. It'll cement his heel status and it's easy to call.

With the whole Angelina/Snookie thing...would Snookie actually do something if she were to lose? No way. Apparently Kelly Kelly will be involved in some fashion to counter Vickie so that will probably be how it finishes.

I think Sheamus will win. You don't have those lines for guys who will lose. Bryan will be the value pick and he'll lose. It's usually how it works.

Kaponofor3 - good writeup, but being a long time WWE fan, I have to add my two cents:

I think Cena is so heavily favored, because the swerve will be that the Rock and Cena don't actually hate each other.  Story will be they just played it up on RAW and in the media to throw the Miz off his game.  Similar to the Tyson/Austin/HBK angle back in the day. 

Stone Cold and The Rock are going to be here with Taker v Triple H as the main event. The fans got more than they paid for...I don't think they'll care more if the fans are hyped up on fan favs winning titles. Cena and Lawler will win...I think that'll be enough to get the crowd over.

I don't think it will be like that...but I can see them teaming up at one point because The Miz is getting involved in all this shit. However...I still think that there will be a confrontation after the fact with The Rock and Cena as well once Miz gets his ass kicked and is out of the picture.

However...I could also see an angle where The Rock helps Miz win and starts a storyline with Cena for a future PPV because it's not exactly a sure thing that The Rock just disapears after this.

But more future storylines will come out as it comes closer...so it'll be clearer soon enough.

I'll take alberto del rio, the miz, undertaker, randy orton, michael cole, cody rhodes, trish/snookie/morrison and sheamus.

Alberto del rio because mcmahon for some fucked up reason has money invested in furthering his jbl wannabe ass career. I hope mcmahon is planing a cody rhodes, ray mysterio, del rio and sin cada storyline. Possible because the wwe draft is coming up soon.

The miz will cheat and the rock will get involved and it will create an angle for the cena and the rock storyline. So cena can say the rock screwed him out of the title. The rock returns to the ring on raw to face cena. Plus mcmahon loves to piss people off and shove miz down our fucking throats.

The odds on michael cole are too hard to pass up and mcmahon loves to piss people off and i just can't see cole losing with swagger on his side. Somehow this match will end with cole cheating somehow. I see the miz and cole having a celebration on raw after wrestlemania.

The undertaker's streak will probably end when the undertaker decides to retire and that ain't happening any time soon. For some reason is see shawn michaels back stabbing hhh and stopping hhh from ending the streak.

I've got orton because the fans need something to cheer about. Orton better win because he is the best wrestler the wwe has right now.

Cody rhodes needs this win in order to get his character to be taken more seriously.

Trish/snookie/morrison match will end with them winning because celebrity guests on wrestlemania always win and kaponofor3 i agree with you on sheamus and the reasons you stated.

Another reason Miz probably has value and has a legit shot of winning, somewhat along the lines of my thinking for the Sheamus/Bryan match:

Why have Miz unveil a brand new belt (or, looking at it another way, why spend the money as the company to have a new belt designed and made) if you are just gonna have him lose his "new" customized belt in two weeks to Cena?

When Miz had his first promo after winning the title -- on the RAW where HIS image replaced Cena's in the opener -- and he said that he promises that he will be the longest running WWE Champion in recorded history.... I think he will be. He's an old-school, hated champion who could lose to anyone. That's usually good for business and Vince seems to be completely behind him for the exposure Miz brings as well as the work he puts in outside the ring. I think the company really has a lot of faith in him, and a win against Cena (allowing Cena to transition to a Rock feud while Miz moves on to, say, Orton?) will confirm that.

Someone must have hit Alberto del Rio recently as he went from -185 to -245.... I worry that I might not be able to get any more value out of him, seriously considering locking in at this price.

Looks like 5dimes has taken away the ability to parlay these lines... Very disappointing if it remains like that.

You guys keep saying that The Rock will get involved and screw Cena. Cena is a face that mcmahon knows better than to try and turn the rock into a heel, it just won't work anymore. Do you really think they'll start a face vs face feud? The Rock helping Cena is much more plausible.

I think we are looking at a Face v. Face feud here. And while Cena is technically a Face, its not like he doesn't have a large contingency of detractors as well. You hear that "Cena sucks!" chant that broke out when he was shown "via satellite" on last week's Raw? There's a large segment of the audience that is just dying, dying to boo the shit out of Cena. Putting him opposite of the Rock is probably the only way that the WWE could ensure that the whole audience turns against him. I can see his promo on the Raw following Wrestlemania already:

"I come here week after week, year after year, I show up, I miss family holidays, I miss birthdays, and for what? So that you people, who already want to boo me, can go crazy when the Rock gives me a Rock Bottom and costs me my opportunity at the title and my Wrestlemania moment? Well if you don't appreciate what I bring here, then I have no need for you or your support. I'll do this my damn self, and I'm gonna take the Rock's head off."

I mean if you're gonna turn Cena heel, which I think really needs to happen to freshen his character, why not do it at Mania? Something else to think about too: What if the crowd at Mania, who is admittedly a "smart" crowd, starts boo'ing the shit out of Cena and cheering Miz? You know the company has to know this could happen. Could we get a double turn to extend this feud perhaps?
