#17 Posted: 5/27/2010 3:04:51 PM Just got back from Palm Springs. We were able to get on the PGA West private Arnold Palmer course (usually host final round of the Bob Hope). Man are those final 5 holes memorable!
However, I did enjoy the Pete Dye PGA West Stadium course more! I think the starter said it was ranked 4th toughest in the States and 9th in the world. Great course, and we paid $39 to play it!

I played the Stadium course about 15 years ago..........lotta fun........host of the original skins game. Actually a fair course...........until you hit a bad shot. |

#21 Posted: 5/27/2010 3:24:48 PM Dunes Club --- New Buffalo, Mich.
From the creator of Bandon Dunes, sits on Lake Michigan, ultra private (less than 100 members as Keiser choses you), and won't show up on your GPS.
Because of the acreage, they could only build 9 holes with multiple tee boxes, so you play around twice.
Gambling enouraged. Winning team choses tee box (no tee markers). So, you may elect to play the hole 385 yd straight away, or trudge up the dunes to another box and make it a 430 yd dog leg.
Caddies only, except when Da Coach plays. He gets to ride a maintenence cart around.
Immaculate, with lightning fast greens. Quite a treat |

You know what they say about Blackwolf Run? The greens fee is worth it even if you don't play golf and just want to walk the course. |
