Its happening with the Olympics again...

Tape delays...I made a mistake and went onto espn.com and found out the results of the men's downhill this afternoon...NBC is tape delaying it for this evening...

I like seeing things live...

my bad...

its not like the olympics are on the other side of the world with a huge time change either...

I live in Canada, the olympics are in Canada, we have 3 networks covering the olympics and I watch allI can. So why do I see all the results BEFORE the events are shown on tv? Absolutely brutal coverage! The downhill results are all over the net yet this event hasn't been televised. What the hell is the point of watching an event when you know who won. Might as well have held the olympics in Siberia.

You need to come to Canada.
1) NBC coverage sucks
2) Have TSN, CTV, Sportsnet covering the Olympics, so I was lucky enough to see it live

Throw in CPAC (government channel) and APTV (Aboriginal People's Television) and you have 5.  Haven't missed anything we've wanted to see.

im sure the hockey will be on msnbc next week at 2pm or something ridiculous like that

i'm stuck watching figure skating with the wife...shoot me

Yeah not only did they have tape delayed downhill skiing, but this last 3 hours of couples skating is fucking brutal !

Downhill was on live this morning.

Yeah you're right. We have so much coverage that I missed it-probably was watching another event at that time. Yesterday I was watching the moguls, which I thought was live. There was 3 competitors left and they went to commercial. So I switch the channel to much music and they are celebrating the gold medal run. I switched back to see the final 3 runs but I was pissed at knowing the results. My own fault, should have looked at a sked.

Yeah, here in the states we've gotten delayed coverage on NBC on multiple events. MSNBC shows about 2 events all day for about a half hour. Then I tried out that Universal HD channel last night, which I believe NBC Universal owns, and they were replaying the men's figure skating Championships from last year ! Unreal.
