scores and analysis

Georgia 52 Hawaii 20 - too much size, speed and SEC football for Hawaii to handle IMO. UH allowed 216 and 261 yds rushing to Nevada and Washington...enter Mr. Moreno. Bulldogs handled Boise St a couple years ago 48-13 and Alabama held Hawaii to 17 last year (22-3 in the 3rd)  and have little doubt that a good quick defense can contain Brennan and get in a couple good shots to the head. Rout.

Va Tech 30 Kansas 17 - feeling this game goes similar to games against A&M and Colorado (both on grass) as far as the Kansas offense goes (except VT obviously has much better defense than those rat bastards). Hokies offensive line and 2 headed QB has shown lately it can score against good defenses and special teams or defense may add a score.

USC -13 (large)
 
Oklahoma St 38 Indiana 23 - Cowboys balanced offense should control this one against undermanned IU defense. Similar Mich St team pounded the Hoosiers for 558 yds and 28-9 first down edge, while NW and Wisconsin and others did similar damage.
 
USC 38 Ilinois 14 - Illinois run oriented attack unlikely to damage USC stout run defense and Williams threw for 200 yds only twice this year. Trojans continue to get healthy and playing well along with coaching advantage.

jaybirdy - hope VT keeps rolling for you, the number is now -3 at the greek and probably others. Earlier it was -3 (-105) so starting to climb at least for now. GL on the bowls.

Had to go back and look @ the matchup on this one..Where exactly is this one being played??  Might want to make sure Ok. St.'s QB (Zac Robinson) is good to go.....but you are right,,,IU has a lousy defense....

I'm actually stunned VT is only a 3 point favorite. I expect about -6.5 and I still would have taken them in a heartbeat. Biggest play of the bowl games for me.

Not sure about that USC game, they will be very disappointed to be playing Illinois, and unless Pete can motivate them somehow, they most likely will come out flat, whereas Illinois will be as pumped as ever. Might have to take the points in that game, but if USC comes ready to play it could definatly get ugly.

Georgia is in a very similar spot, but Georgia is probably just plain too good for Hawaii, and Hawaii isn't the same team when they aren't at home.

The over seems like the best play in the Ok St- IU game, IU will put up alot of points with one of the best receivers in the nation (James Hardy) lined up against a terrible defense.

As a Badger fan  , I agree that Hardy is one of the best receiver's in college football. Secondly,June Jones boy's are a different team off the island. Too much speeeeeddddddd.

Cincinnati 37 So Miss 17 - Bearcats much stronger team and have shown the killer instinct to extend margins throughout the year. So Miss appears to have lost some toughness over prior editions and is going through coaching transition and lost by 17 or more to quality opponents Tenn, Boise St and UCF.
 
TCU 34 Houston 21 - TCU matched up well with Houston when the two played regularly in the past. Horned Frogs offense improved over the course of the year and should have no problems against a suspect Houston defense that held only Tulane and UAB under 30 points (Texas Southern does not count, apologies TSU alumni) and HC Briles left for Baylor.

Tulsa 45 Bowling Gr 31 - going with experience QB Smith (42 TDs) and plenty of offensive weapons including frosh WR Marion and his 31.9 ypc against BG defense suspectible to the pass. Tulsa owns wins over BYU and Houston, while Falcons only win against .500 or better team was against Western Kentucky.
 
Florida St 30 Kentucky 20 - FSU offense should have success against Kentucky defense that only held E Kentucky and FAU under 20 points this year. Seminole defense should have QB pressures and secondary coverage to bother Woodson. Looking for Wildcats to be drained off seven straight SEC grinders including 5 games against top 25 teams.

Have to admit going against UK (4-1 ATS, sometimes large) after their great start. Nothing against UK as opposed to any other team, just happened they got a bit overrated and then set up some good matchups/lines. Similar to following a team for a few weeks that was underrated (such as Va Tech after their slow start). If I didn't have FSU, I would like to see Kentucky get the win just to see Bowden's stunned dang gummit look.

Wake 24 UConn 17 - decent defenses with Huskies holding 10 of 12 opponents to 19 pts or less and WF holding 9 of 12 teams to 24 or less and ground oriented attacks. Teams played last year (24-13) combining for just 530+ yds with one score being an 86 yd INT return.
 
Tennessee 27 Wisc 24 - although Badger defense has underachieved this year, their last 4 bowl games (all against SEC) totalled 38 ppg. Vols defense has improved and held 10 of 13 opponents to 27 pts or less and limited similar ground based Arkansas attack to 136 yds rushing.

scaling back Cincy to a regular play (costing a bit of juice) still like them just not as strong - rumors are S Miss may be motivated to send Bower out a winner which probably won't be enough although could keep it closer and also star WR Johnson is practicing and likely to return after missing several weeks
 
increasing TCU to a large play in place of the Bearcats, unlike So Miss, Briles is already gone and left on his own plus believe he called all the offensive plays for Houston having quite a bit of impact, besides TCU being a better team and other factors mentioned earlier

So the one dog in your world is a +1.5?  I think there will be more than that. Not that I disagree with most of the fav's you have listed. Just not that sure about that many fav's either.

I like VA-Tech but think HI night keep this close against GA. Georgia by a TD. Then again Hawaii has no defence, I predict a 42-35 final score. Why not just pick the Over. Georgia has been scoring 30+ on the tight SEC defence, they'll get in the 40's for sure and I don't see Hawaii not scoring 4 TD's here.

Bowls tend to be closer post-new year but I am liking USC and Cincy. I dunno, everyone is on them and Vegas doesn't give money away. I smell a fix.

TCU and Tulsa are also looking solid plays to me.
